There is a Germanic song called "Der Erlkonig" sung by one man, who does the voices of the narrator, father, son, and the Erlking (Germanic boogeyman of sorts). The Erlking wants to spirit the boy away, and tempts him with many things, one of which is that his daughters will wait on him and other such things. This picture gives me an idea of what they might actually look like. It really is a wonderful work of art.

It sounds wonderful, I will try to find it online somewhere. I am very much influenced by fairytales from all cultures, but also the natural spirits of the elements that I like to imagine manifested in some sort of physical/spiritual form. Thank you for your comment
