Kristin is finally done!!! *happy dance*Done in Corel Painter Essentials 3. Aprox. 12 hours.
I'd appreciate some feedback on the anatomy. I really worked on getting that correct, but I think there are still some places where it might need some work. Also, I'm not sure about the bottom bits of her hair. Does it look natural against her skin? And lastly, the background (or lack of one). I have no idea what would be considered appropriate for this picture. Thank you for your help!

Thank you. 
Hair is all about keeping things fluid. You want to make long connected strokes and use tons of layers. I usually start with a base color then add sections of different shades.

Great job on this overall, I think the hair turned out really well, it's very realistic and the only thing I can think of to make it even better would be to add some stray strands of hair here and there, and maybe some more darker shadowed areas (even though she does have very light coloured hair).
The anatomy is good from what I can tell since I'm no expert at it myself. XD The bit of her left arm, the one pointing away from us, seems a little rigid and maybe that it should be showing a bit through the curls of her hair at the bottom there.
Overall, I LOVE the colouring, it's really blended well and the facial features look very realistic too.
As for a background, I'm not really sure, maybe something green to compliment the red on her clothing?

This is amazing.....i am just starting another painting but this time its for painting class at school, i hope mine turns out as realistic as yours! my teacher always says its a painting it doesnt have to look realistic but i think its way more amazing when they do....nice job!!

yah i actually teach photoshop classes at out art center....and to be able to teach i had to take a class called painting with pixals which was that same kind of thing....i loved it so much...!! it was way fun!!

Hmmmmm. That's such a hard question.... I LOVED her Wicked. I liked her in "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"... I liked her in "Candide." The "Apple Tree." She's in a ton of movies....

haha I have to choose wicked cause its my favorite show ever! but I loved her in candide also, havent seen you're a good man, charlie brown but listened to the soundtrack and her song is adorable, and havent seen the apple tree yet either XD yeah! gosh she does everything! and I want her voice so bad, she has such an amazing voice!
