Yes same thing happened with me 
Set current adjusment layer
To: black and white
Preset kind: Factory preset
Using: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Black and White\Lighter.blw
When You open the (pink shimmer) tab you will see all the steps, I counted onle the ones they have arrows to the left of them and it was step number (96) lol I had to count twice.
I played all the other steps after this one and the play normally just like the ones before this step.
It could be because we are using a different version.

Good on you for making free actions when I see so many selfish people around trying to rip people off by selling them. It's nice to see that some aren't out for material gain and actually want to help people with their pictures.
