I was taking pictures around the riverside in Norfolk, Virginia today, and I had totally forgotten about this statue. Gah, it's so adorable. And I love those tiny hands. I didn't even notice them when I took this. I've got sailors in my family going back generations. This makes me think of my grandparents the most. They eloped when they were 16, both running away from abusive households. Now they're in their 70s and are still sweethearts.
It is OTP if there ever was one.
