It's been a long time without drawing Ash and Misty, huh?In spite of being a Pokéshipper for such a long time (I've lost count of the years), I rarely like the way I draw Ash and Misty.
But since I recently read Toshihiro Ono's 'Pikachu Shocks Back' (I knew about Dengeki Pikachu for a decade now, but this is my first time reading a volume -- since I found it second hand in the UK :D) I got some inspiration, and sharing some tweets with the lovely =MiyaToriaka helped a lot as well. ^^I really liked the interactions between the two in this volume, they were very 'nineties.' :3 I don't know, I just love the constant teasing, like when Misty tries to look pretty and Ash tells her that she looks like a boy anyway, so he gets punched on the head and she keeps doing her thing --almost-- as if nothing happened.
So he's like 'don't go all cute now, everyone's seen what you did.'I tried to make Misty's face look as if she was trying to force a smile to look cute and sweet after 'putting Ash in his place.' Not sure if I succeeded, though, but it was fun to draw! ^^ Hope you like it!

Too bad they didn't credit any of the artists, especially because they only used fanart and it's kind of disrespectful. I don't really care that much myself (as long as they don't claim they drew the pictures themselves), but I know that Japanese artists are pretty much fed up with foreigners stealing their pictures and using them thinking they'll never know they do.

No, no, es un manga. :3 En japonés se llama Dengeki Pikachu (de Toshihiro Ono, tiene cuatro tomos), pero en inglés cada tomo tiene un nombre diferente. He aprovechado que estoy de Erasmus en Reino Unido para hacerme con un par de ellos a buen precio.
La camisa que lleva está ligeramente basada en una que me compré aquí también (en las rebajas, que soy ahorradora >:3). ¡Muchas gracias!

Dengeki Pikachu was one of the first series I owned lol; got the unbound chapters from a friend. And it totally does take a lot from the anime when it comes to those two! They're always teasing each other, but they seem a bit more playful and less spiteful in Ono's version.
I definitely see his style influence in this piece of yours. <: Mostly Misty's hair! That's definitely the way he likes to draw it (her bangs gathered up on one side, relaxed and hanging down, with the side ponytails stands protruding like in this picture; I even see the part in her hair that he usually includes LOL). And you know I'm a sucker for original outfits. |D I just love the trim on her shirt and the way it ties on the bottom, as well as her short-cut shorts. You always do folds so beautifully sob teach meeee and it really shows in her blouse. Hehe, and I really like her forced smile; really gets it across that she's trying to pass herself off as more innocent than she really is lol. Wonderful!

It usually happens to me. ;___; I'm never satisfied with the way I draw my favourite characters (nor my own characters).
Thank you so much. <333 It's actually quite hard for me to find some inspiration to draw Pokéshipping because everything than comes to my mind has been done already, and I wouldn't want to draw them in the same attitude all the time nor feeling like I'm 'copying' ideas because of the similarity.
I think I have another idea in mind, but it's just a rough sketch at this moment (I feel like sketching a lot lately). :3

I really know how you feel. Alone in FAITH I changed my style that much because I didn't like it - also I want to make a remake as soon as possible. T__T It's always the problem when you're not happy with your style or the fact the motive was already done by someone else. I really can understand you.
But please, don't give up! Soon you'll have a new muse and you can do everything free and without thinking of something else. ♥ And it'll become amazing.

Me facino tu dibujo, tanto que me insipiraste a hacer uno xD (no tenia inspiración) Yo he leido parte de ese manga pero jamas lo he leido completo y muchas veces em pierdo pero lo que si tengo entendido es que en dengeki tienen una relación más estable xD o eso entendi ._.u

I'm not familiar with this manga, however, my lack of knowledge doesn't detract from my awe of the piece.
You captured the emotion very well, and made them both adorable while you were at it.
As a lover of well-drawn hands, I'm in love with yours. In fact, the entire anatomy is done very well and doesn't look awkward nor disproportionate.
Your shading and highlighting leaves me slack-jawed. I applaud you--your coloring is FANTASTIC.
