Me too! Masks can depict interesting creatures, people and mytical beings, and they leave you wondering about the mysterious face that lies beneath, as in the Phantom of the Opera or The Man in the Iron Mask. I regularly do a mask making workshop with small kids. (We use foam sheets as the base and all sorts of feathers, beads, lace and paint so on.) Their creations tell a lot about them.

I like the moody, dreamlike atmosphere. The various gentle curves and circles tend to give it a peaceful, rather than threatening impression--to me at least. Reminds me a bit of the surrealism of Max Ernst (probably because of the the bird motif).

Thank you! It's tough to get that moody atmosphere. I try a lot of times but usually fail, so I just enjoy other people's work instead
