I think alot of it had to do with the lighting of the water and the background

Just dropping water with a droplet thingy into a shallow bowl of water and snap away until you hit it just right!

You should try it! I made the background by using something pink. It can be anything, i think mine was a t-shirt or something hehe

Yeah its a great all round lens you can use for most basic close up photography and things in the distance.
Are you thinking of getting the 400D ?
