Species Information: There is much controversy when it comes to Hailfire, wheather they are cold blooded or warmblooded. It was recently discovered though that they are warm blooded creatures with athletic high metabolisms that could surivive in all kinds of cold and harsh conditions. Far from being lumbering slow beasts that boosted their energy levels by basking in the sun, they are more agile and active than their brotheren the #45 - Hotice [link] . Having warm blood and a high metabolic rate may have contributed to the evolutionary success of these pokemon.

Dex Entry: After coming into contact with Hailice, Hotfire mutates into a fire and ice creature, capable of adjusting it's temperature to super high and super low levels. Has a hard time finding a place to live.
