Awesome juxtaposition. The fabric covered object in the back off to the right almost looks like it could be an even bigger chair looming behind.

I don't see that in this one, although I do see it in many.

love your use of lighting, what really makes it great is the prespective i think, something about it draws you into the chair as it were.

I cannot remember the last time I saw a video of theirs (no cable), but I do still play them in the darkroom.

I'm curious as to how you get the colour into otherwise black and white images, but if you don't want to give away any secrets, that's ok

Great composition, by the way.

No secret. Pretty much standard black and white. I use archival toners- 2 bath sepia toner, selenium toner in varying concentrations (changes the colours created) and silver bleach. In combination I can pull quite a broad range. On very rare occasions I add a touch of handcolouring with ink but that's less than 1 time in 50 or so.

Curious, What camera do you use?

And is that a cute mini chair?

<3 dwarf stuff!

I generally use a 4x5 view camera, occasionally a 5x7 view camera and I am nearly finished building an 8x10.
It is a cute mini chair.
