Nice shading! Although I believe you should've have tried to make feathers more detailed! But all in all.. I love it! The composition and the perspective are good indeed, just as well as the proportions! Keep drawing!

Lauren, I like your bird drawing. You've used most of the paper well, and your scale is good. The face could use some more contrast; animal pics are always better with a bit of light in their eyes. Looking at your other pics, I'm glad you are portraying your particular vision of things and aren't stuck on "making it look like a photo". Keep up the good work!

Thanks somebody said that about the eye i was thinking of going back to this and maybe going over some of the bird a bit darker
