Absolutely amazing! Mad props! How did you start sculpting the shape of the head to bike helmet? My biggest struggle is the shape of the lion head (nose and side of face specifically). Any suggestions/advice/detailed tips would be greatly appreciated! Brand new to Devian Art and your lion's head inspired me to make my own for my next con!

Thanks heaps
Yeah its hard to get the face right, I made a paper/card sort of pattern first to try to work out the right size/shape and how to fit it to the helmet, then stuck the proper cardboard on. Sorry I know that's not super helpful but it really was mostly trial and error to get it about the right shape... Best of luck with yours, let me know how it goes!

This is incredible! I'm hoping to make one myself and have been searching around for inspiration. Yours is one of the best I've seen! Great idea using a bike helmet as a base.
The rest of your gallery is fantastic as well ^_^

I now see what you mean about how big this project is! XD I'm finally almost ready to add the fur on.
I do have a few questions if you don't mind.
- What did you use for the eyes?
- How did you attach the pieces of the mane to the head?
- And how did you make the teeth?

And thank you as well! Sometime after that photo was taken I had an unfortunate encounter with a hairdresser so I've been growing mine out again too! Long hair is so much fun

Haha yeah, its a huge project

I was originally going to use pingpong balls for the eyes but I think I found something random in my house to use instead, but I think pingpong balls would work just as well (probably cut in half).

For the mane I used some netting, like the stuff you use to make latch-hook cushions (but any sort of netting would do), attached that to the head, then pushed each bit of mane through
The teeth are bits of cardboard wrapped in layers of wool Let me know if there's anything else I can help with

You're welcome Can't wait to see the hat when its finished!
