One of the main characters from ‘Interesting Men’, a Pokémon-themed role play I do with a friend. Obviously he is based on Wallace from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, but we tend to use a LOT of creative licence. :3 I’d say Wallace is probably the most important character next to Steven, but I won’t be drawing Steven. Because I don’t play him. Also because I can’t draw him at all. Boo.

A talented Gym Leader and Coordinator and blessed with good looks, Wallace is something of a celebrity in his homeland of Hoenn. Being of the Wingates lineage, he is also a Spirit Medium, charged with the protection of the sacred Cave of Origin in Sootopolis. Even though he has great spiritual power, he finds his duties tiresome and prefers to ignore his responsibilities. With all these commitments, it’s impossible to imagine he has any time for anything else, but his favourite thing to do is run off on adventures with his oldest friend and lover, Steven. The crystal-like symbol on his forehead is a mark left on him by coming into contact with Legendary Pokémon. The Lunar Wing he wears as a brooch is also a reminder of a past encounter. Wallace is always one for showing off and calling people by what he thinks are endearing pet names. Despite sometimes coming across as being a selfish diva, Wallace is a fiercely loyal friend who will always want to help people and do the right thing.
