Today, I got an urge to draw Mary! Or, rather, draw people from her plotline in general. This isn't exactly what I envisioned, but I figured I should draw a normalish image of her considering this was the last one: [link]

In her world, Mary is a Junior Agent with a law enforcement agency whose job it is to make sure that human rights and interests are protected when dealing with the other two intelligent races on the planet: The Demons, and The Infected.

In the beginning, Mary is a desk agent, with little ambition to become otherwise. Like some humans in her world, she has a hidden skill - She is able to visit locations or hold objects and see flashes of events that have happened in the past. After the death of another agent, Ace (who had the power to see flashes into the future), Mary is paired up with his partner, Rex (who has the power to read people's aura, gaining a basic understanding of what they are thinking).

They have a really awkward partnership - Rex is generally surly as it is, and is in emotional upheaval after the loss of his partner and friend. Mary has no practical knowledge of doing cases in the field, is awkward when talking to people, and really was not prepared for being thrust into this new world of responsibilities.

Then one day, they find Ace. His body was not cremated after his death, and so he has been reanimated (and healed/restarted! it's not a zombie situation) by a creature, becoming one of The Infected. As the host to an entity that has held many bodies before this one, and has access to all kinds of information, the new Ace reveals that his host was murdered, and that it appears to be a part of a broad-reaching conspiracy, in which both Rex and Mary are unwittingly caught.
