The rain tack-tack-tacked like claws rapping across the glass, the howling wind as frigid as flesh without blood. Flourishing life became saturated in dark rain, none darker than the corvid's wings. It settled underneath the greyness that swept the skies on a branch torn from leaves. What ode did it bring on such a beautiful day?
