Thanks!Β  I used particles in After Effects for the steam, plus some slight distortion for the "heat waves"

This is really beautiful and impressive, lavina! I love how there are places where brushstrokes/hatching look evident, but Β the colors and glowing coals are so realistically reminiscent of glowing embers.
