Who is Theizhasi?
Born Theizhasi Ilendyn Badira to Rondyr Dovero Badira, a wizard of the Eliaseri Order, and Jinsazhi Pavewa Badira (née Asiravi) on 18 Trothë, 1102 A5, her earliest memories were of the small home the family made in the Eliaseri Studium, a campus of wizards and scholars in Aristed, on the banks of the Rhiel, deep in the forest.
Wanderlust came quickly to Theia as she found herself traveling with her father, visiting with wizards and sorcerers ranging across Liorán. Those travels only made her dream of more distant places… And a situation would soon arise that would take her there.
In 1240, Rondyr responded to a summons sent to the Eliaseri and traveled with his family to Goldpeak, seat of Willard, King of Touroun to fill the court's need of a learned magician. While there, young Theia met Nathan, the crown prince, and against better judgement, they formed a deep bond and a love that could have changed the course of kingdoms had tragedy not struck.
The summer of 1247 was milder than earlier years, and an over abundance of rain had drowned crops during the already short growing season of the northern kingdom, and despite Willard's work to bring in food from allies, famine threatened Touroun. When the king fell ill, it was no surprise, and Rondyr immediately began to treat the king, finding quickly that no magic or medicine was working.
Nathan returned from a month-long hunting expedition to find meat to feed the people in his father's charge and found the king on the brink of death, and he, too, soon became ill with the same powerful malady. Seeking a cure, Rondyr returned to Aristed and the Eliaseri Studium. He left Theia, herself an accomplished magician, to see to the king and his son. Unable to keep them from slipping deeper into sickness, she feared for her love's life. Rondyr's eleventh-hour return brought a bold plan: The king and prince must sleep until a solution can be found.
With Nathan safe but beyond the reach of her touch, Theia began drifting. Within the first month, she found herself to be pregnant, and she knew the father could only be one person. Settling in a small village north of Saredoca, she spent the next hundred years as a lone mother, quietly raising a strong son, who grew up to own his own farm and pass it down in his family. After his passing, she returned to the road.
In 1370, she met Fendahir Sendilli, a painter and actor living at that time in Ralbein. She found his free-spirited life, and his love of beauty to be thrilling. He found her beauty and love of a free-spirited life to be a relief from the world-weary performers in his troupe.
They had a fun, seemingly flash-in-the pan affair while Theia was tied to the city, as she had been asked to be the subject for Drecht's sculpture "Her Lady of Mercy," which would become one of the most celebrated works of art of the age. The day she had planned to leave, though, Fendahir arrived at Drecht's home to meet her and after offering her the traditional gift of a white rose, he proposed to her. Had it not been for the master artist's prodding, Theizhasi would likely have slipped away and disappeared onto the roads again due to her anxiety.
The couple were married in Aristed and made their home in the shadow of the Studium. Their first child, Marcendi Frasius Sendilli (15 Xarthi, 1372,) joined his mother and grandfather at the Studium where along with Rondyr, he eventually found a medication to soothe the king and prince of Touroun.
Their second, Racia Yulari Sendilli (9 Samaera, 1388,) was a problem child, though by adolescence she appeared to have grown out of that. Gifted with a keen mind and sharp wit, she had little love of the simple lazy life of an elf and set her sights on greatness. She married Mullor Vincius, Duke of Solden Vale and Count of Parke.
After completing her tenure at the Studium, Theia once more took to the roads, this time visiting points south. Barra Sedra, Saredoca proper, and beyond that, the burning Nebrizsi sands where she learned to dance with a sultan's harem and became known as The Golden Dream.
Her return took her through the contested realm of Vesken, ruled by Count Nolur in the shadow of Mount Russil. Arrested and charged with being a Deatrucean spy, she was sent to the mountain prison and spent nearly two years there under the lash before escaping and ruining Nolur's entire operation in the process.
Given an award of service by the King of Deatrucea, she returned home, having twins with Fendahir. Pavawen Narèen and Dovalen Fenirad Sendilli (28 Charo, 1475.) After this, the couple decided that her next trip would involve the both of them, leading to the family at the time to travel to Voires. While there, Pavawen nearly became a young bride, Dovalen became taken by military life, and ultimately Theia and Fendahir conceived another child.
Marinda Sariela Sendilli was born 1 Samaera,1509, while the family was traveling home, ensuring that another generation would hunger for the open road.
