Description This is my own personal favourite drawing at the moment.

It's Dizzy from Guilty Gear, even though I didn't actually follow the original character design very closely. I got the idea for the moons from Final Fantasy IX, and that's why I coloured the Necro wing red instead of black.

The lineart was done with marker pencils, and the sky with caligraphy pencils. The colouring was done with coloured pencils and strengthened on photoshop to match the original.

When i saw the red and blue moon on this drawing o thought: "Final Fantasy IX Inspired definely", then i read your descrption, and it seems i am correct! Very nice landscape and background you have made indeed. I don't know why your art is submitted on a few groups... submit it to more, don't let your art shine in the darkness, away from everything. Make it bright. I can tell you some groups to upload your art if you want.

Thank you. I'm glad you liked this, even though it's already an old drawing.

Well, I do try to post an artwork to as many groups as possible when I upload it, but I'm only a member of a few groups, so that I can actually go through most of the new deviations from those groups. I don't want to join to many groups since I try not to flood my inbox.

Of course if people (for some reason) happen to ask me to submit my drawings to some groups, I always accept.

You are welcome.
Well try to make all your groups to have something in common. 10 groups will be enough. Hoy many groups are you joined for?

Yes, i like when that happens! While seing more groups more drawigns and inspiration we get, i saw your drawing of Alraune in Pencil-box i think.

I've joined seven different groups, but I left UnknownArtistsClub because they changed their policies so that it no longer was of any use to me.

Now I'm in just six groups and watch one extra, all that have something to do with either anime, or traditional art. I'd like to join many more clubs, but it's just that I actually don't have my own internet connection, which usually causes the deviations to stack up to 700-1200 new deviations between the times I get a chance to go online. And even a quick browsing through all of them takes quite a while.

Yup. New artists that come along new groups give a lot of inspiration, but they also remind me of how little I know about drawing myself. I'm trying my best, but I'm rarely proud of my drawings. Of course my friends like them, but every visit to dA is like taking a shovel straight to the face.

Ohh they changed their policies? What did they do? Ithad to be with submissions or something like that? j

Yeah, watching a lot of deviations of course takes a time you know? They start to acumulate and acumulate and when you feel, you got TONS of them and you have to see it, and fave the ones you really like! That thing happenes to me, but i tri to look at them as soon as posible. I have discovered friends in those groups too!

A lot of good artists are on deviantART, that's for sure. I got a kick in the face everytime i see a drawing in wich i can learn! ;D But if you take a look those people have "studied art", i have not studied art, so for a person like me... is ok!

The UnknownArtistsClub changed it so that the work couldn't be submitted unless it had already been out there for a few days. I don't know if they've made any changes since then, but it really doesn't matter anymore.

Well, it's okay to be a self taught artist. I got a late start since I started drawing around -03 at the age of 13 or something, and have never studied art either. Maybe that's the reason I always end up using bright primary colours like some elementary school kid.

Just studying art doesn't always make an artist either.

Yeah, ig ot into that group but i quit from it, too many deviation messages of course. I hate when groups are very "strict" for what they accept and not.

We are the same then. Self-taught artist ftw! I hate that the people who study art don't take advantage of it, i would like to study arts and be better, but sadly i can't because an artist in my country is on the strets. Dammit, but i came to the conclusion that it doesn't matter your "studies" what matters is "what you do". Right?

It's very difficult for an artist to earn his/her living, since drawing isn't very profitable, no matter where you live.

In my opinion, art should always be a hobby or a side business, since you'd have to be a master artist to make your living only from art.

People who are naturally skilled, or come up with a great idea for a comic can make it. But otherwise it's a very difficult career to pursue.

Well, you have a very good point on that, art is not a profitable bussiness, since it's not "necessary" for survival. It's more like entertaining or something like that.

I am taking art as a "side" career, since i am going to study an engeenery, i am triying to go to courses of Graphic design... in some way the could help. There are good courses on itnernet by the way for example a site called Abduzeedo where you can get good tutorials, hae you heard of it?

Nope, haven't heard of that site before.

I think I'll keep on drawing mostly for my own amusement, and to get at least some sort of recognition from other people (especially from the girls).

And when it comes to tutorials, I think I'll stick to dA and the local library.

Well, you should enter it. I put the link on the name on this previous reply, you should check it!

Hahaha recognicion from teh girls, what are you talking about? XDD

Tutorials on dA are so great! I like this tutorials more than the other ones found online!

At this point I raise my imaginary hat to you, good sir.
This is the best piece of work from you so far and since it is made with color pencils makes it even better since it has more natural feeling.

Only thing I'd nitpick is that wall of tiles and shadows on it. Tiles a bit weird since they're drawn like basic straight ones but have shadows of round ones.

Keep on working.

Oh wow. Raising that imaginary hat is truly an honour for me. Thank you.

I hope that I'll be able to draw an even better one at some point.
