Personality

Howler is in a near state of perpetual grumpy mood. Fueled by how much her life is very much messed up on numerous levels. Hating that the human society either loves or hates her because she is a humanoid wolf. While also being unable to find love do to humans fearing they would be dating an animal. As such, Howler acts like a massive jerk to everyone around her. Rarely showing the more sad side of herself that wishes to have a better life. Either by becoming fully human, or returning to being a regular wolf.

Backstory

Howler was originally a regular wolf that followed the usual story of any such. Having been raised a pup by a human owner, only to later attack and kill as an adult and escape into the wild. Howler would eventually be captured by a group of scientists that researched in genetic altercation. Replacing or altering certain cells with her system to make her become more human. The experiments worked as she slowly started to develop opposable thumbs and walking up right on her back legs. Eventually resembling a blance between wolf and human that many of the scientists would jokingly refer to as, 'a real life furry'.

From there, Howler grew irritated by the life of experimentations and fled what she had known to be home her whole life. Living as a homeless person at first, Howler got into the hero business when she accidently stopped a poacher from killing a wolf. When in truth she did it because she didn't want to see a fellow wolf harmed like she was. She accepted what the people made her out to be, as it allowed her to get a better home and food. As well as get some companions to call her own.

Powers and abilities

Abilities

Tracking: A natural tracker even before her modifications. Howler is capable of tracking down people from miles away even with the weakest of scents.

Canine identification: Howler is able to identify various different types of wolves, dogs, foxes, and other canines. Even down to small differences such as breeds and sub-species. Things that tend to go over human's heads.

Powers

Unique physiology: Do to being genetically altered, Howler has a biology that is between being that of a wolf and a human. The line is blurred enough to make it hard if she is more wolf or more human. Having the diet of a human, while also having the natural survival instincts of a wolf.

Digigraded legs: Howler's legs are structured in a manner that makes her stand on her toes instead of the soles of her feet. This allows her to be better suited for running. As well as be able to keep up with other animals built to be fast runners.

Digging claws: Howler's hands and feet have claws that are built specifically for digging. Allowing her to be able to dig faster than a human with a shovel. Though made for digging, the claws are sharp enough to be used as natural weapons against opponents.

Enhances senses: Howler's hearing and smell are much better than that of a humans. Able to pick up sounds and sents that regular human noses cannot. This however can be a down side as she is affected by dog whistles. Her vision meanwhile is more like that of a human's. Able to see various different types of red.

Weaknesses

Howler's enhances senses can be used against her. As some oders and sounds can overwhelm her. She is also more incline to follow her natural instincts do to starting out as a regular wolf. Because of this, most of the time she tends to avoid certain situations. As well as fall for things that wolves are known to fall for. Such as bait to trap her.

Her state of being between wolf and human is a complex medical issue. As some forms of medicine that are alright for humans, are bad for her. While also some medicine for dogs can be bad for her. Because of this, whenever she gets sick, or has an internal problem, she is unsure of whether to go to a vet, or a hospital.

Howler rarely interacts with other heroes. Feelings that they are very alien to her, as she is to them. As such, she prefers being a loner. Only ever teaming up with heroes when they cross paths with one another. She tends to get along better with heroes that are a lot like her, or have animal based powers.

To Howler, all villains have a smell to them that she really does not like. Though sometimes she shows pitty for them whenever they bring up some kind of hard time. As a result, she has moments of letting them get away and leave them with a warning.
