My interpretation of the miner TMNT character Pizza Face.

Pizza Face originated as a toy exclusive character in the 1987 toyline. Released in 1990, he was designed and characterized as a gross mad pizza maker with a pizza cutter for a peg leg; His bio even stated he was a chef that worked for Shredder and Krang. Naturally making him the "worst nightmare" for the turtles. The 2012 series would be his animated debut, but it would be an odd one. In the season 2 episode, named "Pizza Face", it is revealed he use to be a human pizza chef named Antonio. Who owned the brand of pizza that the turtles have been regularly eating in the series so far. He ended up finding a lost canister of mutagen as he was baking pizza. Thinking it could be a new ingredient, he tasted it and became a living blob of pizza. As a result, he sent out tainted pizza to capture as many people as possible and eat them as giant calzones. Mickey however never ate any of the bad pizza and saved everyone. The episode ends with it ambiguous on whether or not it was just a dream Mickey had. But it was most likely true. As when the Kraaang invaded New York, the turtles take refuge in an Antonio's Pizza restaurant that has clearly been ran out of business.

For my interpretation, Pizza Face use to be a pizza chef that was regarded as the worst pizza in New York City. So much so that the only ones that actually liked his pizza was the turtles. But even then, they only ever bought it when the other joints were too busy. Furious over this, he desired to make the world's greatest pizza. Thus he went on the hunt for better ingredients. During which he finds a canister of Ooze mutagen that was lost during the Utom leaving Earth. Believing it to be a special secret sauce, he tasted it, resulting in him mutating into a humanoid pizza. Gaining the ability to make pizza from his very body that turned people into zombies whenever they ate the pizza he made. The turtles would see this on a news report and go to confront Pizza Face, who proved to be a legitimate threat with his regenerative abilities against their weapons. Forcing the turtles to trap him in ice until Donnie could make some retro-mutagen.
