I agree with everything you said. This is a great rant!
For me, Naruto and Sakura have more of a brother-sister like relationship.
And its outrageously annoying when they're [Naruto and Sakura] compared with other couples, who are not even parallel to them (with the exception of JiraTsun).

Thank you.
Indeed. And with all these comparisons, the "pairing" pretty much loses all sense of uniqueness because there's nothing original about it anymore...

Good rant, even if it was a little unfocused. I think that Kishimoto played with the idea of Team 7 triangle, but modified & then abandoned it as he deepened his story about the time of the timeskip. Hinata emerged as the more typical (and popular) shounen manga love interest who encourages the hero to do his best. Hinata's original cute crush on the roguish hero who motivated her to do better became a deep infatuation after the timeskip, which indicates like the rest of the character changes that Kishimoto intended for it to happen. Hinata's love for Naruto wasn't all played for lulz, she had become a competent chuunin, high in the esteem of her team, her cousin, and her father. However, like a good shounen heroine, Hinata also retained a caring & kind nature, loving Naruto for himself. Naruto for his own part, became the sort of guy Hinata could fall in love with. Of course, as in most character development matters, the love between them has had to squeeze itself into the story between epic battles, training for said epic battles, and long-winded exposition on being a ninja hero in Naruto's world. Heck, Naruto said as much when he caught up to Hinata during his charge onto the battlefield in the Fourth Shinobi War. But he's understood and accepted Hinata's feelings, as she has kept him focused on his nindo, and three times rescued him from despair versus a more powerful opponent (Neji, Pain-Nagato, Tobi). Yeah, the end of the series should see her quietly but steadfastly standing at his side.
Now as for Sakura, she has been a fun heroine, and Naruto's story wouldn't be the same if she was still the fangirl cheerleader she was in episode 3. But when Sasuke cut & run he shattered Team 7's fractious but supportive build forever. Those days are gone for better or worse, and all of Naruto's posing & teasing won't bring them back. Sakura, bless her, realized after the failed retrieval mission that she had asked Naruto to stake his life on a selfish & thoughtless request, and resolved to do better. So post-skip she is a better kunoichi and a better person, aptly suited to have Naruto's back on a mission, but not become his beloved. So, what happened? Well, Kishimoto's emergent theme of the present mirroring the past, but providing the means for a better future, for one. Sakura, Naruto, and Sasuke are the new Sannin, just as their three masters were before them. But the first Sannin were sundered by their desires and their choices regarding those desires. Sasuke nicely mirrored Orochimaru, and Sakura unwittingly mirrored Tsunade by keeping Naruto at arm's length until she one day realized he was a powerhouse hero in his won right, who didn't need her help, except to heal him after another reckless battle. And her place as his inspiration and moral support was now taken by Hinata, who could honestly look Naruto in the eye and confess her feelings for him. Unlike Sakura, whose confession fell flat since her true feelings were not bent on supporting Naruto but deceiving him. Ouch! So they'll be good friends, and Naruto will ask her for a date now and then, but she's in the friendzone, and if she wants Sasuke back on her terms, he won't get in the way.

Heh, thanks. And yes, you do an excellent job explaining Hinata's love for Naruto. As well as how she has been patient with him and calm him down when he needed someone to talk to.
Me? I imagine Hinata's final scene showing her pregnant and the child is heavily implied to be Naruto's.
And you did well explaining Sakura and her bond with Naruto. Sakura tries to be a good friend. They'll be casually talking to each other or walking together, but it's all platonic. Especially in Sakura's POV.
Sakura does mean well, even if her actions are very questionable.
Despite Naruto asking her out dates (and always getting rejected) he has never really made a serious move on her. Naruto knows Sakura's feelings for Sasuke will never vanish, so he wouldn't dare interfere. He knows he will never be with her romantically, but he is living his life doing as he normally does.
However, the two never really talk to each other about their problems. They just silently watch and think about what the other is going through. As stated before, the only girl who has actually understood AND talked to him was Hinata. And her words actually do manage to break through to him. Naruto has found strength and confidence from Hinata when he needed it most. Perhaps that's what Naruto was looking for when he liked Sakura, but he never realized he was looking in the wrong place (person)...

Naruto's crush on Sakura in the first series was part of his ongoing search for acknowledgement and acceptance. Even on her worst day, Naruto put up with it because, Sakura was responding to him and looking at him. As opposed to 95% of Konoha. Sakura in turn never disliked Naruto, but he wasn't what she wanted as a boyfriend, or friend some days. Sakura eventually began to realize that Naruto & Sasuke had a closer relationship than she had with either of them. Sasuke also acknowledged Naruto, but regarded him as a friend of sorts who was always ready to help Sasuke get what he wanted. (The rivalry of growing strength is the power of youth! ) So if the two boys are being friends of a sort and using it to build their ninja careers, that left her outside, looking in. And right about the time Sakura buckled down and resolved to catch up, Sasuke left and took away her crutch & excuse for not living up to her own potential. Then about the time Sakura was ready to step alongside Naruto with a Sannin master and intensive training of her own, he left on a three-year tour. The filler seasons are actually useful here, silly parts or no silly parts. Sakura was offscreen most of the time studying with Tsunade, while Naruto went on 4 missions with Hinata, and nailed down the acknowledgement he had won from his peers in the Chuunin exams & the retrieval mission. Sakura got stronger, but only went on 1 mission with Naruto after becoming Tsunade's apprentice.
When Naruto returned at the beginning of Shippuden, she initaily thought he was same old Naruto, albeit taller, more assured, and more handsome. But Naruto had seen something of the world, and he knew enough about himself that he didn't need constant assurance of acknowledgement to keep him from imploding. And to really beat Sakura with the irony stick again, when Naruto & Pain where doubling down and he really needed someone to get his back, she was stuck healing all the wounded from earlier. She got to watch Hinata jump in front of the Pain bus and take her role...and then get to heal Hinata while 8-tailed Naruto & Pain rearranged the nearby landscape. And Sakura knew at the time Naruto what Naruto needed in support, she was genuinely worried after seeing him in 4-tails mode against Orochimaru and realizing about 3 years too late why he wanted her affection & attention so much. After the bungled rescue of the unwilling Sasuke, Sakura was nicer to Naruto, but kept him at arm's length again when the chance to become closer sometimes happened. But she was still sidelined as a healer while Hinata got her confession off and pledged her devotion to Naruto's nindo again.
We've already mentioned the false confession and its result. Tobi's mighty world-swapping genjutsu (shoehorned into the war prep phase) let Sakura walk a few kilometers in Naruto's shoes, and she found herself not liking it at all. She was sick of living alone, acknowledged but solitary after a couple of days, but she knew that was the story of Naruto's life. Sakura finally got to step up beside him to defeat Naruto's evil twin and help Naruto reject the dream of what could be for the reality where he was truly welcome. Too bad she and Naruto would be the only ones to know it! And then he left again to go train on Turtle Island with Bee, and the next time she saw him he was on the battlefield showing everyone how to take on S-rank opponents, living or zombie. And Hinata stepped up to inspire Naruto again, while she was busy healing, again. (Hinata was even the first person to get the kyuubi chakra boost!) The people Sakura wanted to help the most were Sasuke & Naruto but Hinata was the one who helped Naruto when it counted, and Sasuke had helped himself without her....maybe.

Mm-hm.
Mm-hm.
Yes, a shame that only these few knew about this fantasy world.
Yeah. Rather it's filler or canon, despite what limited time she spent with Naruto, Hinata has shown more of a developing bond with him than his own teammates. And that bond has shown to have a grand impact on each other.

The "great impact" is what ultimately swung me over to NaruHina side of things. Hinata's crush wasn't just a crush, it was her impetus to become a better person. Then she turned he love into a way to support Naruto. Hinata is a giver & nurturer personality, she is a great for Naruto that way. However, she is turning into a defender-protector as much as Naruto!

*puts hand up*
Sakura probably does care about Sasuke, or at least respect him, because I'm pretty sure "-san" "-kun" and "-chan" is a suffix of respect. Sort of like Mr. , Ms. and Mrs.
