Description I apologise for this. I never do this as a rule but I have done a different edit to the picture I uploaded yesterday and I think I prefer it. I know that 68 people have liked yesterday's picture so I am not going to delete it or update it, I am just going to post this version as well and see what you think.Β
As before this is a view from Elgol on the Isle Of Skye looking across Loch Scavaig towards the Cuillins. It is one of my favourite views on Skye and I can just take in this view at all times of the year in all weathers. I just love it. And when you are there you can hear the water lapping up against the rocks and you can smell the air and watch the clouds billowing around the mountains. I am enchanted by this view.Β

It's quite great. The both version are amazing, but this one, perhaps, a bit more clear and dramatic, because skies are predominate over. Also such narrow horisontal composition is veryΒ expressive. Β But it's nice you save the both ones.

Thank you Anna it has been very interesting. Both pictures seem to be popular with about the same number of people. I am glad I have left birth pictures here too.

I think in this edit of the picture there is more balance of the coast/shore (not sure what is the right word) in the front, the lake, the mountains and the sky. I actually like this one more. It is amazing how many different colours you can find in the clouds and the mountains. Wonderful photo^^

They are both very nice.Β  I prefer a stretched landscape such as this versus the more square type.Β  Good work.

SucieDesigns [2015-07-14 20:34:22 +0000 UTC]

I like them both. The previous version lends itself to me thinking I could be laid on the foreground admiring the view. I realise that could be very uncomfortable.

LawrenceCornellPhoto In reply to SucieDesigns [2015-07-14 20:38:45 +0000 UTC]

I'm beginning to see them as separate pictures now and not two edits of the same one.Β
One is all about the feeling of being there on the wet rocks with the mountains shrouded in cloud over the water
The other is about the mountains and the cloudsΒ
Completely different from each other
Those rocks are very comfortable to lay on

This new version seems to be more correct in terms of framing , but for me the first one was better . Even if the view is nicer , if it is cut from the excess rocks , it is these rocks gave him a more individual character . One could feel closer to you , imagine that sitting up with you among those wet rocks , feel the effort , which added to make this picture . But both are beautiful and most important is which is closer to you

Thanks Jane I think less is more in this edit. The clouds and the mountains are the real focus and there was too much foreground in the first one. It was a real dilemma for me but I felt I just had to upload this version too
im glad you like it
