I’ve been having this image in my head ever since I first played Alkar’s route in the visual novel “When the Night Comes” last year.
It’s the first time that I actually paint an illustration for him. Usually every character gets a portrait for their birthday, but unfortunately for Alkar, his birthday happens at the same time as the Inktober event. ><
My biggest challenge for this one was his facial expression. I wanted the viewer to be able to get a glimpse of Alkar’s vulnerability hidden behind his usual bravado.
