Marriet Beaumont, Lady Marriet Beaumont, heiress to the Navier line if you want to use her full title... she's the Human Monk I mentioned in the Po'ta image and the Primary introduction for the readers in my story.

The Humanis are a pain in the ass, to put it bluntly... 80 years ago they had their own Inquisition which had the right to put anyone to the stake that went against the Pentastan Order (The New Gods) since then they've been Misogynistic, Racist and xenophobic to the point of killing anyone that didn't look like them... which made it hard for a Blind homosexual girl who didn't believe in the dogma and couldn't find love with the Elvhani despite her Noble bearings... Being born to noble parents allowed her a great many freedoms, like not being shipped off for war at the age of 12, or being killed for being blind or having painful attacks during the day and wandering the halls of her home in the dead of night, all her problems when she was a child were all because of her condition, blindness and hyper sensual sensitivity... she knew of the world as pain until one day she went to find her father in his training room and instead found a Blind Warrior just like she would become... he taught her to reach beyond the pain and focus on one point, a piece of light that became her north... then the real training began.

Marriet spent years practicing combat, stealth and even reading body language or pretending that she wasn't blind... when she was done she realised that there was a lot more crime in her city than anyone thought so she started vigilantism by protecting a servant of her home who was being raped by her uncle... then it snowballed from there and before long she'd pissed off the local crime lord Sinclair who really needed a way to get rid of her... thankfully an old friend dropped some files off and before you could say "Love at first sight" Marriet was set on her adventurous Path alongside the Warriors and specifically Po'ta Illhuilien who she couldn't help but become enamoured with... the Noctus showing the Humanis a better way to live and one that didn't limit her to birthing a male heir to her dead grandfathers wealth...
