(FIRST PERSON STUFF, MONSTERS AND SCIENCE AS DESCRIBED BY A CONFUSED AND SEMI-HORNY HUMAN, THIS IS SOMETHING NEW, ALSO THIS WAS WRITTEN FOR THE ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY THINGY WHOO)
Hello there, whoever (which, in all honesty is probably just gonna be me because I can’t remember everything about my friends and the stuff they can do) is reading this! I’m Iyana, you know, that one human lady who lives in the Town of Dreams, specifically with Doctor Cofesta. Kind of easy to tell who I am because… Human.
As to explain what this is supposed to be: this is my sort of journal for my life aka a thing to stash dossiers on the things I know, since a friend of mine, Rairi--who’s a pretty angel with bat wings, which is pretty awesome despite her existence meaning that there’s potentially an afterlife on other worlds, which is a whole thing within itself, not just the other worlds part but the whole afterlife thing is what I’m getting at, which is offtopic--mentioned that the weird company she works for, same one that Doc visits every couple of days to do his… stuff at, were keeping tabs on some of us. I’m not really sure if they just copied down all the medical stuff Doc and Sedna have jotted down during my time here, but if they have all my old records from before I landed in Demachina, I’d appreciate getting them back.
Anywho, yeah! This is my journal for stuff. Again, I don’t know if anyone else is going to be reading this for me, but if you do end up doing so… Like, don’t share some of this stuff to the others? I don’t need it being leaked to them about how I feel about some things.
Humans
Alright, so my fellow humans… I kinda don’t have much to note here, besides the fact that there are other humans all around Lilath, despite having monsters, like, everywhere except where I came from. I’m not even all that sure how I lived for almost 24 years without ever knowing about their existence, but it’s still high up on the list of “things to look further into, once I get the time and resources”. There’s actually a lot on it, it’s just taking a good while to get through it all.
The only things I can think about putting in here is the fact that there are other humans in the Town of Dreams (or the ToD as I like to call it, because seriously, it gets tiring writing the full thing out all the time): there’s Rezin, this guy who’s together with this… bleh, spider woman and actually has a daughter with her. He’s not a bad guy though, kind of average, honestly, but it’s nice to have a normal human to talk to at times.
There’s also this woman named Asama, who I haven’t really gotten to know yet. She seems friendly enough, works at the only tavern-slash-inn we’ve got in town, I just don’t know how to approach her on account of her looking like a total badass; seriously, she’s got an eyepatch and scars on most of herself, so she’s probably like one of those crazy survivor types who’ve been managing to live with the tougher monsters and Illeus for plenty of years.
Now, if only I can keep up with the others and do the same...
Phoeagon
Doc… Honest to the goddesses, he’s one of the most confusing things I’ve encountered since I ended up here and that’s kinda why he’s an amazing best friend. He’s a bit of a mystery still, but he’s the fun kind of mystery; like an anime or video game character. Which kinda does make sense, considering that I’ve seen him enjoying both. Still, he’s the best; a little goofy, boisterous, evil-looking, fiery, passionate and so strong it isn’t even funny, but he’s still a good guy.
Oh, yeah, I guess this is the part where I list all the cool stuff he’s got as well: hammerspace, flying, super speed, super strength, fire breathing, absorption, healing magic, teleportation, super jumps, a massive warhammer that reminds me of Dedede, some amazing durability, regeneration stuff, musical talents, the ability to mimic people’s voices and other stuff like that, an iron gut, and probably a lot of other stuff I haven’t seen yet. He’s got a lot of tricks up those sleeves of his… And I won’t lie when I say that I’m both excited and terrified to learn what else he’s got (which I hopefully will remember to log down as well).
Besides all that OP stuff about him, Doc also seems to have a lot going on, despite not showing much of it to me. He’s got a lab somewhere in town, he usually goes off to that Greedful Enterprises place every week or so, he takes care of a garden, helps folks around the ToD, somehow avoids Kiji almost everyday and still has enough time to hang out with the rest of us despite it all. I’m pretty sure there’s stuff he’s off doing while we’re sleeping too, at least not when I’m cuddling him in bed--okay, listen, Doc is hot in every sense of the word, but I’m pretty sure he’d never be into me that way! I don’t think I’m his type, I’d probably break Kiji’s heart before she’d break me if the two of us did date, if Mimi didn’t get to me first that is, and I don’t want to have Mitsuki kick me out of the house if she realized I’ve even thought about Doc ‘n his cloaca. So, the phoeagon is off the table for my odd love life that’s been on pause since I came here.
Plus, l think he sees me like a sister or a cousin, something like that in addition to being one of his best friends. I couldn’t just fuck that over with him like that. I care about him too much for something like that to wreck things between us, even if I’m a bit uncertain of either of us actually, y’know, finding someone to love.
The point is: Doc is my best bud and I refuse to do him dirty, no matter what happens to us.
But moving away from my phoeagon pal, I’d like to say that I’d go deeper into phoenixes and dragons too, but I haven’t met enough of them to actually be able to talk about them. All I know so far is that two of them got together to make Doc; a group of phoenixes is called an “odyssey” and a group of dragon is a “hoard”; there’s a shit ton of dragon species out there in the world and that not all dragons are Illeus.
I do kind of wonder about Doc’s parents though… But y’know what; he’s got Mitsuki and that’s enough for me.
Cetacean (those are like whale people, like Sedna)
And here’s one of my other best friends: Sedna! Apparently she’s not as tall as the other whale people of her species--I find this weird because she’s a leviathan whale and I really had thought that she was just using some kind of size changing thing like Kiji, but I found out I was wrong when we ran into her uncle and it turns out Sed’s just smol--but that doesn’t make her any less cooler! She’s a bit more level headed with things than Doc is, actually, legitimately is a doctor, a therapist, a psychologist and a psychiatrist all rolled up into one extra large package and literally gives the best hugs. Seriously, she might be fit as fuck beneath that soft exterior, but that blubber she’s got means that she’s amazingly soft on the outside, belly and all.
Sedna and Doc also share some of the same stuff when it comes to powers, not to the same extent, but Sedna’s definitely able to hold her own against what I think is the toughest. To further expand on that: blubber for cuteness and body stuff, she knows martial arts for kick ass reasons, she’s ludicrously fast both on land and in the water--seriously, like I would not want to be chased down by her on either for several reasons--her reaction speeds are amazing as well, she’s got insane jumps for someone her size and weight, she’s very strong, she can shoot these weird bubbles from her mouth as long as water like a hose (or a Pokemon), she’s got hammerspace too, a set of fins (a dorsal fin too) to help her swimming abilities, and seems to know a lot about Lilath. I’m a bit worried about all the stuff she’s seen and experienced (not just ‘cause of the possibility of us having to go through it too) but because there’s got to be a limit on what a person can handle, monster or not; she does seem to be handling it fine though…
But in other news, to answer your question; yes, I kind of have developed a fat kink because of Sedna. Am I embarrassed by it: of course, because I don’t want to have to bring this up with her nor explain why I look at some of the other monsters funnily. Am I also going to tell Sedna that I think she looks beautiful ‘n that I think of her that way: hell no! It’s pretty much the same thing as I said about Doc, with not wanting to ruin my friendships and me not wanting to go over my limits with them.
Just, know that I’m not one of those fucks who want Sedna to sit on me, alright? She weighs more than half a ton, the human skull can only take like five hundred pounds, and I don’t want Sedna to be the end of me; just the friend of me. Shit joke, I know, but my point still stands.
Succubi, Incubi, Xcubi
Another species that I kind of don’t know much about, if I gotta be fair. I haven’t met up with too many xcubi, but I do know Felora; Doc’s “lazier”, older, succubus aunt. I’m not too sure how she became his aunt as I’m pretty sure she’s not Mitsuki’s sister, but it’s probably just because she was around when Doc was a kid. I just don’t get how the two of them have gotten to a point where Doc’s annoyed with her most of the time--seriously, Felora’s one of the few people I’ve seen Doc have a problem with, not just because of her smoking, but like in general--but I’m pretty sure they still do care about one another. It’s just that they do it in their own weird way… A way that involves Felora not being all too active and having that “wine-vodka aunt that can kick ass when her nephew isn’t looking and is super chill” vibe, yet that works out somehow.
I still don’t know too much about her despite knowing her for so long, but I’m just going to point out that she’s nice before moving on. Okay? Okay.
Now, onto the literal fucking demons who.. Actually aren’t too hooked up on fucking. No, I’m not joking about this, despite the fact that I’m somehow hornier than a species of demon that used to feed off sexual energies. Apparently, they all went through this major change a couple millennium ago that shifted up their biology ‘n diet that allowed them to be able to handle actual foods, along with adding other emotions besides lust, horniness, all that junk. So, yeah, they still can feed off sex, but it’s more of a choice now adays instead of being forced to picture every other living (and unliving, gotta count robots ‘n the undead in there too) thing capable of love as a meal instead of partners and actual people.
Also, like, that’s legitimately a good change, not just because of them being free to have a choice, but this is what I’m thinking: an xcubus could literally just live off of puppies in addition to actual food. And, no! I didn’t mean like eating dogs, I meant like feasting off the love they’d give off from, y’know, being puppies! There’s plenty of emotions you’d be able to get from pets alone!
So, yeah, they can also fly, shapeshift, turn invisible and use magic too, though I’m not too sure where they fall onto the Illeus scale. It doesn’t really matter to me since I already know that Felora’s tough as hell despite not being all too active (I’m not too sure if she’s just shapeshifting herself to look buff or not though, because I’ve seen her change her hair and eye color a lot). But in the end, all the xcubi just serve to show that most of the things I thought were true about the monsters were wrong; not that I wasn’t right about somethings, just that I should be really more open minded.
… and that I should try going to one of those xcubus bar-slash-cafes I’ve heard about from Felora.
Mini-Giantess
Okay, so, like Felora, the only mini-giant I actually know is Mitsuki. I don’t have much to say about her species since, well, she’s kind of just a taller human who’s stronger but I’ll try to update this with more things I learn when I have the chance.
As for the big mom herself: Mitsuki is a kind woman, the gentle giant you’d expect her to be and honestly amazing for having raised Doctor for what’s apparently almost been two decades. Also for dealing with that strange Rendi-woman who’s been starting to come over every once and awhile--Doc told me that she’s a demon from some other world that runs this multiversal business that Rairi works at, but I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to her yet and I’m kind of afraid to do so, so she’s not getting a section in here until I find out more about her--running the ToD as our sorta-mayor, doing her best to take care of us and help the out ToDfolk as well as actually being hands on with most of the town’s problems. Seriously, she’s got amazing construction skills and is also the carpenter, mechanic and architect who got the Town of Dreams running in the first place! I’ve got nothing but respect for her because of this and I’m really happy that we’re… Okay, we’re not as close as Doc or Sedna, but I think of Mitsuki as a friend. A Mother I’d Like to Friend, and not the other acronym you could get from that, yes.
What I’m trying to say is: Mitsuki is cool, I’m pretty sure that you’ll be destroyed by Doc if you ever do anything bad to her, and goddesses future me, REMEMBER TO ASK HER ABOUT HOW SHE FOUND DOC AND IF SHE HAS ANY BABY PHOTOS.
Desidia (Sloth People)
Yeah, this is my last entry for today and I know it’s weird ending it off on what seems to be the laziest monsters, but I don’t know enough about the other monsters to write up something good for them right now. I certainly can’t do any of those Blakiris folks for obvious reasons, but fear not, because I will get back to this! After I finish talking about Russle, and by which I mean start!
… Okay, so, I’m not even gonna lie or try to hide this one: Russle is adorable. Not in the attractive kind of sense, but more in the way that normal sloths are cute, so that also makes her cute too. Given the fact that, yes, some of the monsters act like their feral counterparts, this does mean that this applies to them as well. (It also means that I’ve seen Doc and Kohana preen themselves, have watched Kiji vore a cooked pig, have remained constantly confused at the various animal noises that they make that’re only sometimes translated by my headset and have been blessed with the knowledge that the bestial monsters, besides Sedna, seem to enjoy getting headpats and petted.)
Russle’s also amazing in the sense that she, Kohana and Elizabeth both hatched and are taking care of Whidyna, who’s a ridiculously adorable bird boy. I’ve actually helped out with him too a few times, letting him hang out at me over at Doc’s place or making sure that he doesn’t end up making a mess of The Sloth Shack and even lending a hand with the store sometimes--mostly because I actually have hands and fingers. It is ironic that she even runs a shop in the first place given that she’s a sloth, but she’s not all too lazy, I gotta say. She puts more effort into things that I do; not that I have a job to do that with! (Note to self: FIND A JOB!)
So yeah, Russle isn’t slow, she has claws instead of fingers, she’s a wonderful caretaker and if you’re not me yet you’re somehow reading this, please do go visit her shop! It’s totally worth stopping by there and saying hi to everyone.
Anyway, I think that’s all I’ve got for now! So please, future me, update this while you have a chance, before something crazy like what had happened with Gar-Girl goes down again. Then, not only are we going to have to update this, but we might forget some of the important stuff, like that Doc can literally teleport us back home if he can get his stuff to work or that Sedna has a supply of water built within her or that Kiji actually can turn people to stone and would do so if she desires; important stuff that’ll make sure we live a long, happy life.
Until the next time you remember to write within this, please take care and don’t let us die! I really do not want to end up becoming a zombie…
Okay, maybe I might since apparently you can be a sentient zombie here on Lilath, but I’d prefer not to die! Or get eaten, fattened or inflated--somehow, I feel like that’s gonna start becoming a thing here--just anything bad in general!
I mean, I might be human, but I’d at least like to stay a human on a continent full of monsters that gets visited by aliens.
… Yeah, my life is weird now. Still, I’m ending this here, now see you all next time! Or whenever I write more of this stuff, I guess!
