Such a serene and peaceful photo! The blues are awesome, and every aspect of the pod is captured perfectly, like their unity with each other.

Thanks! I had no tanks, so I was trying to dive to a certain depth to shoot from below. It seems they appreciated my efforts and came close to look at me.

Beautiful Yep it does seem like quite a few marine animals are less scared off when you're not on scuba. This is a great shot to have taken freediving!

the water gives the dolphins great contrast...
they look smooth, and the entire composition just gives it a feeling of calm and gracefulness

Yes, true. They were back from a hunting night in the open sea. They were relaxing, playing, slowly swimming around. It took a while before they accepted me, but after I felt at ease between them, with a deep peace inside.

This is a very common dolphin, not as big as the 'bottlenose' dolphin (the one in 'The Eye' photo). They make incredible jumps and it seems that they really enjoy playing!
