LOL...sorry. It's just the way I phrase things. I don't like saying I'm a Christian because Christianity is very flawed and full of half truths and lies. (sounds like I've said this before eh?) So anywho, yeah. I do however believe in the Bible, both old and new testament and align my life and my beliefs with the teachings therein. Therefore, "teachings of Christ". LOL Be afraid...be very afraid!!!

I mean, it's nice that you don't follow everything blindly like most, but still.
From this kind of logical act I would have expected more doubt in the actual existence of a god.

Well, I don't claim to be logical. LOL I suppose it's silly that I believe in God. I know to most it seems completely ludicrous. But I'm okay with that. What matters to me is the way I treat people and the development of my character. I feel that I have developed as I have because of my faith in God and because I live my life like I do. I'm not limiting the possibility that I could be just as content and grow just as much if I didn't believe in God, but eh. I do. And it makes me happy. 
(And besides...I'm an awful person...no really. I've done some of the shadiest, nastiest, awfullest things to people around me. I'm very despised in my hometown and have been kicked out of various communities for my former lifestyle. But my life is amazing. The Universe is the ultimate balancing act. One pebble out of place and it tilts. For years I tilted the wheel against me by my selfishness and destruction. But somehow, the wheel righted itself. I've never felt my world crashing down around me like I should have...years ago. Seeing as that I believe in a "karma" type thing, I have only one thing left to assume: and that is that there is some outside force that is defining and shaping my life. I choose to believe that force is God. That's all the proof I need.)

I'm an atheist, I didn't choose doubt or faith.
I feel that I KNOW that there is no god, since nothing really proved me otherwise.
Also I'm doing fine and being a nice guy without faith and god on my side, I find that silly as well.
If you want to be a nice person just be one, I don't need a book or a god to punish me if I act badly.
Just be a responsible human being.

Eh it's okay. I'm not offended by your words. Just as I'm sure you're not offended by mine. We are just two different people with different mindsets. And it doesn't bother me that when I die I might have been wrong. I guess some people see it as living in a fantasy world. But I'm happy. I don't choose this life because I'm afraid of punishment or Hell. That should never be a reason not to do something. I choose it because it just plain makes me happy. I feel contentment. I never found contentment in anything else. Even if I end up being wrong. One man's proof of God is another's proof that there is none. It really all depends on your point of view. And again, I'm okay with that.
(I'm probably still a little crazy though...aren't we all in some ways? lol)
