Okay so here's Tao, Shaiming's gyarados and only water type.

Gyarados is one of my top favorite pokemon. I think it is awesome and beautiful (in it's own way) at the same time. I LOVE them. Unfortunately they are SOOOO HARD to draw which really sucks because it is one of the pokemon that really inspires me.
So her face here is heavily based off of my older picture I drew for the UBF. I kept failing to draw her face so I just eyeballed my older picture. I know eyeballing is against the rules in the UBF BUT I was eyeballing my OWN older drawing so I figured that would be okay. If not let me know.

The anatomy ddkjgdsjsgjs whatever. I did my best. X____x;;;;

ANYWAY, about TAO

Tao/涛 (Female Gyarados, Careful nature)

Tao is not only the only female pokemon on Shaiming's team but also the only one that isn't a fire type. Her trainer has a tendency to hate on all water pokemon, so Tao feels special.
Tao is... very dence. She's not smart at all, but extremely powerful. She obeys orders at all times. If something has upset her, she will go on a rampage like any gyarados. The one thing that will calm her down is food.
Regardless of her size and power, Shaiming stands up to her fearlessly (he sees her as a giant hungry goldfish- er, magikarp), and Tao admires that, in fact to the point that she has a crush on him (yet she and Shaiming are both too dense to realize that).

She's very protective and obedient of her trainer. Unless she's on a rampage, Tao is a very quiet pokemon. She often seems to be in deep thought- but likely there is nothing at all in her head.

Shaiming took a magikarp from his pond at home before he left on his journey- he thought it would bring him good luck. This magikarp was of course Tao.

Although she is the outcast of the team, she serves a great purpose and can save Shaiming if he is ever in a desperate situation in battle- plus there is the element of surprise. Nobody expects a flying/water type to be on Shaiming's team and it will stop any trainer from KOing all of his pokemon with ground type moves (since Tao is flying and unaffected by such)

On the other hand she has a weakness to rock type. Like... all of Shaiming's other pokemon.
