There have been theories being thrown around as to the origins of Steven's new pink form. Some think he's going to become Pink Diamond or that Pink Diamond is somehow coming out in Steven. I personally see little merit in this idea (at least in the literal sense), though if you're into it, that's fine. Though I do somewhat like the theory that Steven's gem half, the "Pink Steven" that formed when Steven's gem was separated from his body (and who notoriously yelled "SHE'S GONE!"), is trying to protect the human halve from "danger", and is part of the reason for his current dilemma. The gem halve, part of it's purpose being to support the life of the human part, is "defending" Steven with an impulsive and hazardous indifference to the consequences. I've toyed with this concept myself since roughly the beginning of Future and have had this image in my mind of Pink Steven defensively clinging to his human half. I only got around to drawing it last night in the spur of the moment. I was so giddy in my window of motivation that I didn't even take the time or care to make sure the lineart was clean. I've also never used the airbrush tool for lighting before, that too was a split second choice.

Though this was very fun to make, I wasn't sure I would post it online. My friend thought it was good though, so I decided to post it anyways. Besides, I havent posted anything for this show in a bit. Hope you like it. And if you have any cool insight about Future episodes or theories, feel free to share them in the comments.
