First thing that comes to mind is that the letter is from a dear family member who moved away, just simpley to tell them they're fine *shrugs*
Nothing too dramatic, just a nice letter which brought tears to her eyes

This is really wonderful. I love the sunset and the colors. She's showing a lot of emotion not only with her face, but with her body language and even the clothing is adding to it.

You know, I hate that feeling of "Where have I seen this before?" I had to go to your site and realized that I recognized it from the illustrations button. Very nice. Though it's kinda odd, when it's not in full veiw, it seems like she looks happy and then when you full veiw, it's almost as if her whole expression changes. Though I could just be crazy.

Wow your artwork is awsome! Well when looking at the small version you can't tell she is crying, even in the big pic its hard to notice her tears. But I love it non the less.
