I took this at the pet adoption center where I volunteer.

Blinkers came from a home where he was neglected and starved nearly to death. Because of his past abuse, he is now very aggressive. For this reason, he is not up for adoption and instead has found his forever home at the adoption center.

Dogs and cats aren't the only animals that get abandoned, abused or dumped in shelters. There are plenty of homeless rodents, birds, reptiles, and exotics in shelters and foster homes!
