Description Cincinnati Railway GP30 #85 sits on a siding in Lebanon, Ohio with a car from the CNRY's dinner train. Note the NYC&St.L one the nose and placement of the bell.

The unit started life as Nickel Plate Road #901, then became N&W #2901, and finally Indiana and Ohio #85 before being purchased by the CNRY.

GP30 is one of my favorite locos. There's a couple still working in the Cincinnati area, one for CSX as a road slug in all grey that parks on a siding in the Springdale area and a high hood that shuttles cars into and out of the Norwood area. The road slug is easy to spot and is always parked with its master on a siding near the road, it's been awhile since I've seen the high hood.

Didn't the Nickle Plate Technical & Historical society pay to have her repainted into NKP, or was that another GP30?

I know that it was repainted back to NKP 901, but i dont know if the repainting was done by the NKP THS.
