What in USA the 4th July is, is in Germany the 3rd October, however it has not much to do with independent, but with reunion that it happens 27 years ago. At that time, Germany was divided into the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic and between the two countries was the Wall. 3rd october 1990 the wall was demolished and it was special. The people were free again and they could hold together again. That is why we celebrate this historic day.Have a nice day/Hab ein schoenen Tag ^^
