Volume 5 is the one where Orihime gets her powers... She's shown within the first 3 pages and if I remember right, Rukia is barely in that volume at all.
I really don't get the whole Ichiruki thing personally... You would think if Ichigo liked Rukia at all in that way he would have made a move on her in the month or 2 she was living in his closet?? BUT- I'll save the debate for a journal or something. >.>
