RANT: YAHOOOO!!! Finally done! This is Jay McCray from the NES game "Journey to Silius"! SILLY-US!!! XD (AKA "Raf World") I was randomly downloading NES games <_< and came across this little gem! The music kicks my ass!!! I don't know why I put it that way but I instantly fell in love with the music as soon as I heard it and decided I would dedicate a pic to its sheer awesomeness *worships**cough* Anyways... at first it was just supposed to be a quick drawing but then I ended up putting my all into it, so... yay for random urges to do good drawings!!
Since I didn't really have too many references for his clothes I made up a whole bunch of stuff, and I think I made his suit too... puffy? When I look at it, it just shouts "MARSHMALLOW!" at me... -_- Oh well. I'm happy with the result
Drawing his limbs was a HUUUGE pain in the ass. His left foot refused to look the way I wanted it to, and then I couldn't for the life of me make his fingers look normal. If you look at it from far away it's passable, but up close it just... doesn't work. Then the angle of the gun was a headache and it doesn't help that I'm generally horrible with weapons, especially guns. I have no imagination when it comes to them... (I used the game for a reference so it's better than my usual) Umm yeah... I can go on and on about my mistakes but if I had tried to make them perfect I wouldn't even be halfway done. I'd probably still be messing around with his damn foot <_< ...I can't think of any more to say, and that's probably a good thing lol.
TECH: 17+ hours? in Photoshop 7 (I wasn't exactly keeping track...)

Ah well, that quibble aside, this is a great action pose for Jay McCray. The (presumably just opening?) doors really makes it look kinetic. Nice job on his suit, too.

I did got this nes game today and I was surprised that it has one of best nes music soundtrack ever.
sadly it didn't had book with it, but it did had hard case and box cover (they did bad job cuting some parts off) on it, and it was rental used.

I was looking at this, and at first I was thinking "pfft!" But then I took a second, closer gander & noticed the interesting background... very nicely rendered - totally captures the vibe. Jay looks good, too. He didn't really look all too well in the game, anyways.

We had that game 0_o Even my mom played it, and she hates action video games. I never got past the 2nd level.....
