damnnn i screwed up the bg. OTL OTL*shot*
contest entry for *gudrighter 's contest
okk the original character doesnt have glasses or a quill pen but since Gudrighter likes writing i wanted to make the character portray some sort of attachment to writing. so hence the ugly pen/glasses

i was rushing a lot since i had to submit it on time -_- (gahh exams are killing my contest entries.) i seriously dont expect to win.
this is my first time drawing water (actually water would be a lot easier but and ocean!?!?! DAMN HARD. no colors.... lighting is hard)just pretend they are sailing in the caribbean (LOL PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN MUAHAHAHA) laugh all you want mercedes.
i was actually thinking of making the sails on that ship black THE BLACKKKK PEARLLLL

Larke VIII by leaair is an interesting piece, taking Larke to a different personality that I've never thought about.
Interpretation:
Blondish brown hair... yeah
Blue eyes... yeah
Age... reasonable. Though his glasses does make him look a tad older.
Outfit is normal and good, though I don't know how that red suit can wave around like that... And I do hope that's not jeans. ^ ^
The rapier can have more work into it.

Presentation:
A good overall piece. The background and foreground elements blend well, and the ocean looks reasonable, too. The ratio is a bit off for a devID but that's nothing that Photoshop can't do.
