I don't think that it will take very long actually. i'm almost done with the initial sketches of the first chapter of my DGM doujin. Just need to tone and post.

and i already have a couple pages of the second chapter of this done.

Hopefully it won't take me more than a few more weeks. LOLOL

I've yet to catch up on the manga version, but the anime version (I think) is the only one where Yukio turns into a demon as well... I think it was just fanservice. It was, at least, at the time the anime was made, because it had surpassed where the manga was.

haha! no worries many people stick to anime in lieu of the manga- most anime come after the manga though (only case I know off the top of my head is Darker Than Black which was anime, then turned into a manga). I only end up reading the manga if I love an anime, and it stops, but the manga continues- or if I find out that the manga and the anime differ greatly (like Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji). I always like to see what the mangaka intended, but am always open to alternates as well- I think of them as a kind of "parallel universe" or something. Ie: Yukio turns into a demon and Yukio remains human.

I only really have issues if it's slow death/torture... and especially with knives and stuff. O_o If it's relatively free of that, I'm probably fine.

Ohh no, Dante does use a longg sword and gun(s) but I don't recall any torture in it...
Pyro torture is fun though Such a pyromaniac >.> I like slow deaths only if it's tragic or heroic... Like somebody dying for someone they love or care about deeply... etc.

ah- yeah, it's not really the dying slow that bugs me, it's like slow stabbings- that kind of thing O_o (ie: I have only seen "saving private ryan" one time because there's a scene when someone gets stabbed really, really slow- feel almost PTSD about it and I saw it YEARS ago; so that kind of thing)
but yeah, i can see the dramatic death scene- those can be quite powerful

my only comment is that it looks kinda like rin is wearing makeup in this drawing (eyeliner, lipstick) looking like he's ready for a rock concert performance. everything else is absolutely as I'd picture seeing in the "official" works.
