Yellowfang is a Tortie. Fight me.
It fits more with the idea that she's called 'Yellow' since, she would not have had teeth as a kit, so why name her yellow for that reason? It fits to her Canon design of Dark Gray, and its Genetically Possible.

Okay, so, it's been a few years since I've read Yellowfangs Secret (I'm pretty sure I had my dad buy me the book right when it came out)
But!
I loved her character, I loved how sassy she was. I loved her 'I Take No Shit from Anyone' attitude.
All around, I really loved her character, and I wasn't too bummed out when she died?
Like, it was sad, but really sweet? Grouchy Mother tells her Adoptive Son that she loves him essentially. She was able to raise Kits, Fireheart/Cinderpelt, and got to have a role in a clan she cares for.
I loved that she chose to live I Thunderclan, and NO ONE resents her for it. No one disses her for being a Shadowclan cat (well, after the whole ordeal with the kits.) and she's earned her place in the clan.

She's worked so, hard, but never makes it about her struggles. She's willing to help Fireheart, and willing to put others first, despite all the actual shit she went through.

However after her death I feel she became.... bland.
She became this basic cat that only gives cryptic messages, and lies to the living to get what she wants.
I was really disappointed in that. It really see,s like the Erins just kinda, force her into all the prophecies and omens, when I'm sure she just wants to rest. I mean, she's dead for fucks sake, let her sleep.

So I love Living Yellowfang, and Dislike Starclan Yellowfang.

Now, onto her Power.

Her Power was literally not ever addressed in the series. Not once, just in her Super Edition.
And like, it's an interesting Power, it is, but like....??
What's the point of it? To force her to become a Medicine cat, so when she gets pregnant, Starclan can punish her, and have her birth a literal demon known as Brokenstar?

It's ridiculous. It's a cool Power, but god, they really sucked at the whole story line with it.

Like, if anything, have her force herself to become a warrior, and HAVE her Kits legally. Maybe her kits are sick, (Wishkit and Hopekit) And she feels their pain as they are dying. She can feel how much they're suffering, and it hurts her as well. Causing her to literally feel like she's dying Physically and Emotionally, when they die.
Have her unable to be around Brokenkit because she's scared of that feeling again.
Have her give him up to Lizardstripe (I think) because she cannot handle the pain of losing another kit. Since, she will feel their pain, and her own.
Have her in a depressed state when she becomes a Medicine Cat. It's her last resort. To ease her depression, she starts helping others.
She can tell when they're lying about their pain, and gets them the herbs they needed, despite lying.
Her grouchy attitude could be from her not originally wanting to become a Medicine cat.

Plus, it works out for Brokenstar too. Since he would know his mother willingly abandoned him, due to her own fear.

In the series, I would have her just... know.
If Fireheart was feeling Comflicted, Yellowfang would know. Gettin him to open up about the issues bugging him. More binding for the two of them.

She would be able to distract Cinderpaw from her depressed state, partially since, she's been there, but can also feel that she's having some emotional turmoil.

She would be able to tell what was wrong with Kits, or Elders if they don't know how to describe their pain.

Just, small things. Bringing herbs to the Elders, saying simply 'Eat this,' and leaving. You know?
Cause she knows, but she's not gonna tell anyone she knows.

Anyway, cool Power, bad writing.
Cool character, and they ruined her.

(Also, sorry for not uploading for a few days, I'm catching up tonight, expect 6 posts all together from me,)
