Ok, where to start... I'll start with the suggestions since I already told you a lot of nice things.
The perspective is in need of improvement... that is to say I drew the characters looking at them straight on, but you drew the scenery looking down from above a little too much. A bit of that is fine of course, but I think it is a little too much. To change that, you need to draw the blanket they are on a bit differently, so that it doesn't go back quite as far and come forward quite as far, and you need to draw the angles sharper so the back is a good deal smaller than the front. This is a minor thing, and I know you can't fix that with this one... jsut something to consider for you next picture of this type.
Miakai needs to have a bit darker markings... the color you used is fine... but she has darker browns and grays as stripes through her fur. That is just something to consider for her particular patterns though.
One more thing, the lighting... you got a good style for coloring down... but that is for flat light... with the lighting you created with the lanterns and the fireflies, you need a different lighting. I know you probably aren't sure how to do that... so all I will say is consider experimenting with different lightings... look at some of your favorite pictures of Kenshin in unusual lighting and try copying them as a guide to learn how to color different lighting types. That is how I learned. ^__^x
Suggestions over with, now for the praise.
You are getting better, the grass and the trees look great. I like the way you drew the trees or bushes, like they are young saplings and nothing more, very elegant and delicate looking. You did an excellent job with Koji's hair and I love the detail in Miakai's wings... Also love the patterns you used for the kitties, very cute. The lanterns are great, the fireflies are a nice touch and you did a lovely job on the sky, nice use of hatching for the gradation.
I like the pink blanket too, it makes me think of a sakura viewing festival.
Oh and one more tip... for Ryu's hair since you were asking. When I color his hair with pencils what I do is color the brown like normal and then color a bit of red over the brown close to the shine to show a transition into red for the highlights. It is just a matter of mixing colors a little to get a redish brown feel at the lighter areas.
Hope this helps and once again, thank you for coloring it, it looks great.
