At first you found it quite nice when a mysterious stranger started leaving compliments to you on small pieces of paper. It began only with messages such as You're pretty. and Don't worry too much. and you found those usually on your desk, in your locker or in your books. You enjoyed these kind actions but you were really curious who might be giving them to you.

But soon it was getting a bit scary. You found notes in your pockets, in your bag and among things you didn't like when strangers touched. Worst thing was that you never remembered anyone getting close or touching you, you had no idea how the notes appeared. It was annoying you but it wasn't that horrible, since your things never disappeared, nobody stole anything from you.

However, you were terrified when the a note appeared in your house. Whoever entered your house, you had no idea how they could get inside, none of your windows were open or broken and the door was locked. You were scared and confused and you cried curled up on your bedroom foor. Only after getting somewhat calmer decided you that your home wasn't safe now and you had to leave to somewhere else for a while.

You went to the person you trusted the most, the scary, tall Belarusian guy, Nikolai. Some people were scared of him but you had nothing to worry about, you two had known eachother for a long time. Thankfully he was at home and let you in without any kind of hesitation. He noticed your unusual behavior, you seemed too tense and you just kept mumbling, so he sat you on the couch and he sat next to you.

After some time of trying hard to explain what was going on and telling him how scared you were, he suddenly chuckled softly and rubbed your arms with a smile on his face. You gave him a confused look. "Do you keep a spare key outside or something? Maybe that guy found it and that's how he got in your house." "Yes, but I never told anyone where I kept it." "Haven't you lost your key and had to use that one?" "Yes, but that was like a week ago!" "Maybe someone followed you..." The thought of that terrified you again. You let out a shaky sigh and shivered. "I'm really scared Nikolai, I don't even want to go back home, I'm too afraid..." You whimpered, hugging yourself. "Shhh..." He hugged you tightly to himself. You couldn't see that he was still smiling, since he found it completely adorable to see you like this.

"You can stay for the night if you want." He said, patting your back. "I'd appreciate that very much... Do I sleep on the couch?" He giggled and gently lifted your head up by holding your chin and looked straight into your eyes. "No, you can sleep next to me so I can protect you from creepy stalkers." And he continued grinning... You felt a bit like he was making fun of you, you blushed and averted your gaze in embarassment.

He gave you a shirt long enough for you to use as a nightgown to sleep. Nikolai's bed was pretty large and very comfortable. You lay on one side of the bed and pulled the soft blanket over you. You watched him get in bed too and turn off the lights. You said goodnight to each other and you turned your back to him, you haven't been very comfortable with sleeping next to him yet. However, he didn't seem to mind and you fell asleep pretty quickly, knowing you were safe with him.

In the morning you felt some pressure on your body. It surprised you and shifted a bit but you quickly recognized Nikolai's body on you. You were lying on your stomach and his chest was pressing against your back, his arm around you. You still felt a bit weird but his warmth somehow reassured you and you decided not to push him off.

You rested longer in his hold but soon you opened your eyes... just to be scared again. You jumped when the first thing you saw was another note, exactly like the former ones, stuck on the nightstand. You bit your lip and took deep breathes to make yourself calm and you slowly leaned close to read what was written on it.

I love you.

You sighed and buried your face into the pillows. God... How could you be so scared? You should have known... "Nikolai..." "Hmm?" He moaned sleepily. "Weren't you supposed to protect me from the stalker?" "I did. I don't need to stalk you when you're with me."
