Description
This is the most emotionally taxing piece I have ever done.Painting and drawing this image was a real emotional rollercoaster. Pain, sadness, longing, shifting into familiarity, happiness, memories. I'm even afraid to publish it, because it makes me feel so extremely vulnerable.
It depicts my twin brother who is no longer here with us.
I know it's not perfect, I still make anatomical mistakes when working in traditional media, and for some reason the scan of it came back looking a LOT grainier than the image is in person. The skin and the hair are both quite smooth irl.
I don't even feel like writing anything more about it. This piece is heart-wrenching, and I'll display it over my bed. Instead I'll leave you with a lyric quote I wrote about him.
