Well, this was done for a poster. I wanted to have a hero shot of Harry, like a more adventurous take at him. And I thought that Buckbeak's feathery wings would be a nice background to his shining wand. He was going to have a lightning coming out of his wand, but I decided for the glow instead. I admit I was a bit lazy with the background, specially with the rocks... but I wanted to show more detail on the figures than the BG.Pencil+inks+Photoshop CS+Painter 8

Quedo bueno Lean, linda pose y como siempre el coloreado impecable. Y lo que hablabas de los modelos de belleza con Cami, es 100% veridico. Sobretodo con las expresiones faciales, porque uno se toma a si mismo como modelo.... El mismo Alberto Breccia lo hacia, porque nosotros no??

Wow! I really dig the style you used here! I think the angular shapes coupled with the dynamic poses really give it an action-shot feel. Absolutely striking!

thanks! I've seen a lot of Harry Potter fanart, but even when there are some wonderful pieces, many are bland and lack some intensity to them. The stylized action I used in this one is my interpretation of what HP is all about...

Nah, it's an action pose, like, leaping from one position to the other. Maybe it's the wand that's lifting him...I wanted to portray a frozen action, and I think that Harry frozen in the midlle of the jump was the choice to make.

I still don't see why his leg would be folded; if he hit the ground like that, he'd break it.
A lot of artists forget to consider the practicality of their poses, focusing on the dynamicism of them instead. While this does lead to cool-looking poses, they don't hold up upon reflection.

jajaja en realidad justo pensaba eso, tus dibujos tienen toda tu onda. es asi, el arte de uno refleja la personalidad...tambien creo que uno se toma a si mismo muchas veces como modelo de belleza. despues de todo, son los rasgos con los que mas estamos familiares...
