Daughter of Poseidon and Amphitrite.
Sister of Triton and Benthesikyme.
Cymopoleia is probably a personification of the violent sea, storms, and sea terrors, as her name means "she who rides the waves".
She was married to the hakatonchire Briareus, and as her husband, she would be colossal. With him, she may have had two daughters, Oeolyca and Etna.
As a nymph, Cymopoleia did not have her own cult, and was always worshiped along with other deities, like her father or revered along with her husband by poets who told the Titanomachy, for example, but she had no cult of her own or claimed temples for herself.
Unlike her siblings, she was not well loved by her parents, who found her presence disturbing. As a result, she wandered alone through her father's abandoned domain.
