I can imagine Lear singing this... not to anyone in particular, i can just see her singing it... lol it would be corny if she sang it to Yianis, but he's used to her weirdness by now
"whatever O'Beann, are you done? I have things to do and don't have time to listen to your musical numbers." *rolls away*

*wrathful screeching because of my scanner not looking good no matter what i do with it*

I hadn't drawn some Lear and Yianis sugar in a while (no one missed it i'm sure but i had some refs lying around i felt the need to use)

Awww this looks so sweet!  Hehe Yianis looks like he appreciates it in the image, even if it is so adorably corny!

Yianis is pleased by any form of attention towards his person lol, that's something that cracks me up about him. so needy!
corny enough to make you bury your face in your lap and squeal... that's what happens to me in the movies anyway, if its not corny enough that doesn't happen

He needs attention!  That's understandable!  Poor buy doesn't have many friends!

Yes!  It needs to be corny or else it is unbelievable!

Awwww *cuddles him, doesn't care if he gets commoner cooties*

Hehe I like corny.  Especially if it makes me laugh

lol well we know that, but he thinks he's just fine... for now.

XD i don't know if i like corny or if it just makes me uncomfortable

Yianis believes in Yianis *power punch*. Lol I bet she has her own musical moments all the time. Erimway manor becomes a Disney movie, with Charles trying to send her to timbuktu lol
(oh yes, Charles believes in Yianis too, don't you Charles?)
Yianis actually looks kinda happy, although he could be saying "yes yes, I have to go now, we'll continue this conversation later"

lol well thats very good for him XD  (whats a power punch?) well, she probably does sing to herself when going about her day. *continues hum while painting and drawing, or cuddled with her hubby*
well he probably would try that! "No! bad Charles! bad!"
(Charles believes in no one but Charles *blank stare*)
he's probably mildly amused by her affection. "can't keep your hands off me can you O'Beann?"

I imagined a power punch to be an enthusiastic air punch.
Lol, the same song or something different?
'How many times have I told you Charles, that it's not nice to ship people off in crates! I thought we'd made progress with this habit'
(but he's paid to believe in Yianis so he'd better make it appear convincing!)
*haw haw horse laugh* 'don't make me file a restraining order'

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-08-10 14:44:35 +0000 UTC]

oh!
it could be any song. lol. *sings "I just want to use your love" while cuddling next to Yianis, or "sing sweet nightingale" while cleaning up her studio* I imagine it might be incidental songs, unless ones just stuck in her head.
"I am sorry Milord. but earlier you ordered me to ship the objects of decorum that were no longer desired."
(lol he's paid to clean up after Yianis and take care of him, but he supposes if that is part of his job then yes, he will be convincing *is given a "Erimway is number one" sign and cheerleader pompoms* )

*is unsure if he's serious about the restraining order or not, but backs away from him to be safe*

*Yianis finds it disrupting at first, but after a while if it's too quiet he misses it*
"CHARLES, you'd better retrieve that crate at once, this is most inconvenient that you should ship my wife away! Do you know how long it will take to find another!"
I want to see Charles cheer-leading, but if it's anything like his dancing...

"I'm joking! Come back! You know I cancelled that one against you months ago!"

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-08-12 16:41:47 +0000 UTC]

aw she probably doesn't sing too loudly unless she's alone in the house
*heavy sigh* "very well sir. I would never desire you to be inconvenienced." *races after the van*
lol its probably not especially enthusiastic.

"wait... you had one against me before?"

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-08-12 20:02:54 +0000 UTC]

Yianis never knew Charles could run, he assumed he just teleported everywhere.
I can imagine! He probably cheers in a flat even drawl, "yay sir, very good sir"

"...but of course, as a precaution mind you. I know how my allure is too powerful for some to resist, so I had the order drawn up lest you ravish me"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-08-12 20:10:40 +0000 UTC]

Charles is the speediest of Charles's! that or he's not putting as much effort into the chase and not using his teleportation powers!
I imagined that and I'm crying XD *slowly shakes pom poms*

"something tells me that you're goading me into ravishing you." *eyebrow raise* "I bet you wouldn't be too put out if I did."

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-08-13 11:49:17 +0000 UTC]

Lol he pretended to run just around the corner, then stopped and watched the van speed off into the distance, then lingered about for a bit, before pretending to huff and puff and sweat, returning with grave news that 'alas Sir, I was not swift enough to catch the vehicle on foot, but shall endeavour to telephone the post office immediately" *forgets to do so until next week*
Charles is truly motivational and beautiful

"Well I may be deserving of it don't you think, travelling down this route all alone and unchaperoned."

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-08-13 13:52:43 +0000 UTC]

yes, exactly all of that! though that conflicts with his need to be a competent butler... if he lets Lear get shipped off it would be against Yianis's orders and his value as the Erimway butler may go down! oh well, its for a worthy cause, after all, the manor is safe from common blood! *pats self on back and helps himself to a treat*
he is so beautiful.

"I thought you'd be more deserving of a ravishing for being so handsome and alluring, not simply for being vulnerable." *strokes his hair*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-08-13 14:21:42 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I thought that too, but wasn't sure which need would overshadow the other.  Charles needs his own game!  Full of all these tough choices!
Lol what exactly is a Charles worthy treat?
*cries tears of awe*

"Yes well there is that too, it's a combination of factors really, but perhaps we can discus it more if I invite you back to my home without first considering my actions hmmm?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-08-13 22:38:31 +0000 UTC]

well, this is more effective in the long term equation, he believes. he is rescuing the family and will be shown as a good butler when Yianis realizes his mistake and thanks him!
lol he does he'd have a butlery adventure. getting rid of his employers common wife stealthily.
I don't know? *helps himself to a bag of chicken jerky*
the tears blind you from his beauty! wipe them away at once!

*eyebrow waggle* "yes. its quite a combination.  I'd like that. and it seems our homes are in the same direction, which makes it simpler. I'm sure we can have a very fine discussion." (as they are married and live in the same house lol but what does he mean by without first considering his actions???)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-08-21 09:46:34 +0000 UTC]

Charles' treat is so random! Not like a tea-cake or something but a bag of chicken jerky
*wipes the tears away immediately* of course, sorry!

"Allow me to walk you there then, I look forward to this stimulating discussion - Charles, hold all my calls"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-08-21 15:16:47 +0000 UTC]

lol i know! are you surprised though? or maybe his treat is simply a wafer thin mint, as chicken jerky might effect his butlery breath.
very good, you can be trained to be obedient

"thats very kind and gracious of you, your lordship. you're a true gentleman. I'm sure the conversation will be very titillating." *hooks arm around his, stroking his fine arm muscles*

Charles - "for how long milord?"

*Lear glances at Yianis with a grin* "what do you think? how about until tomorrow?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-09-01 09:25:59 +0000 UTC]

Yes i am surprised. "Charles, why am I smelling jerky? Where is that smell coming from?"
*awaits treat*

"Oh I am sure it will be most provocative." *arm flex*

"Until further notice Charles - such discussions can't be rushed."

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-09-01 14:00:40 +0000 UTC]

Of course it was a random treat selection, this is hatters like after all. *stows bag in coat pocket* " I smell nothing milord"

"It should've most invigorating... And profound." *whispers into his ear while enjoying the muscle* "you fox."

*charles leaves them to it in favor of a long overdue nap* he supposed there is one good thing about O'beann around and that is his lordships energies are placed in things to relieve his boredom giving Charles time to rest

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-09-16 22:03:56 +0000 UTC]

Charles probably has a 'random treat cupboard' that he throws random treats in and does a lucky-dip to pick one out of when feeling particularly accomplished with himself.
"Oh well, it must be because I'm hungry" *continued doing whatever he's doing*

"And hopefully most satisfying, you minx"

Charles now has free time *gasp* whatever shall he do!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-09-17 02:17:08 +0000 UTC]

yeah... he probably doesn't even bother stocking it himself, he's too important. he has Layla do it. I imagine if she's annoyed at him she replaces it all with dog treats.
"would you like me to make you an appetizer M'Lord?"

*blushes happily at being called a Minx* "awww don't worry, I always find conversation with you incredibly satisfying."

well, he can start working on that panic room in the basement like he planned... or he could spend time with his wife...
*goes downstairs to build panic room*

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-09-19 09:16:58 +0000 UTC]

Lol, too important!  The hierarchy of the house goes - Yianis + Lear --> Charles --> Layla and all the lowly servants
*gnaws on a pig-ear*
'Order a banquet Charles, I feel like being needlessly extravagant'

'I do too, I think it's my melodious and well-spoken voice.'

Awwwww - why do they need a panic room Charles!

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-09-19 13:52:58 +0000 UTC]

exactly! you got it though i didn't expect Lear to be plus, lol i almost though she'd be on the next arrow. i'm pleasantly surprised.
I was thinking the peanut butter "cookies" for dogs, but that works too XD
"do you wish for others to be invited to this banquet?"

"pffffft- *coughs to hide laugh* "yes, its very charming. which is good cause it is the only voice being heard."

its always good to have one in case, its the one flaw of the mansion that it does not have one.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-09-19 19:02:05 +0000 UTC]

I was going to put her on the next arrow but I think Yianis would see the value of her as partner on the same arrow, probably more so because of his reliance on her.
Ugh but those are like normal human treats!
"Others Charles? Don't be absurd, this is an extravagant banquet for myself and Miss O'Beann, go fetch her, and be sure to announce the banquet to make the peasants jealous, if they amuse, I'll allow them to beg for scraps"

"That is what we rich do, make sure we are the only ones heard"

How did they survive this long without one!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-09-19 21:23:21 +0000 UTC]

I thought he relied more on Charles than on her though?  what would he even rely on her for though? I mean, i guess Charles is only conerned about the well being of the Erimway family whereas LEar is concerned about what is best for Yianis. I dunno.
they're not because i wouldn't eat them! i bet they're dry and powdery.
"Very well sir, I shall prepare it."
*Lear ends up bringing friends and family*

"yes, I figured that out. but i'm alright with hearing only you when we get to our rendezvous sight."

thankfully no emergencies that required a panic room have happened, but they've been woefully unprepared if it was needed.

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-10-03 09:12:43 +0000 UTC]

Charles is always there, he's like a given - like the furniture so he doesn't really count.  Well I would assume he would like her to back up his decisions and impart her opinion from another viewpoint and not just his and Charles' rather dry one.
They probably have no real flavour, I've tasted cat biscuits - they taste like nothing
*Yianis was happy enjoying his private banquet of excess wastage until they showed up - but he soon forgets his distaste and thinks it was his idea to invite them*

*delighted but their destination is still five wings away*

Not even that peasant siege in 05? That was a terrible terrible time for the family, they almost lost great aunt Hortence to panic when she thought too deeply upon the  'lowlies' trampling the lawns (turns out the siege was not a siege but the new army of gardeners employed to re-landscape)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-10-03 15:11:18 +0000 UTC]

lol poor charles, not counting despite all he does. oh well she can do that, of course.
yeah, i don't know why the dog gets excited, its all scent and nothing else. how disappointing.
*Lear was feeling awkward at this banquet of excess wastage and thought it needed more people to talk and eat all the food and is happy by their arrival*

*pushes the chair to help him move faster*

there was a peasant siege? that sounds greati bet the gardeners didn't pay any attention to them at all *tramp through unperturbed*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-10-05 09:58:19 +0000 UTC]

Charles is clearly not torn up over it lol
It's in her contact, she has to!
I don't know either! Rabbit treats are the same, they taste like nothing but the animal is going insane at the very rustle of the bag.
*Yianis has put up a screen so he doesn't have to view them eating, he's OK listening to them but some sights are far too offensive for delicate society* (I joke obviously but I had to write it)

*points down a hallway as they speed along*

Yes it was a very dark and distressing day (the gardeners were the siege! Great aunt Hortense was a very confused woman whose hysterics misled the family into barricading themselves in the dining room for a month)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-10-29 15:08:42 +0000 UTC]

no not really.
she thought it was out of the goodness of her heart, not a contract!
animals are weird.
I honestly don't know how Lear doesn't die of embarrassment at the way Yianis is so rude to her friends. I'm sure they all think he's horrible and she's too good for him XD

*turns into the hallway and opens the bedroom door for him* "I'm a little too anxious for our discussion, why don't we use a spare room instead of the usual bedroom?"

(i know the gardeners were the siege! I'm saying the gardeners just came to do their job and ignored the bizarre panic happening around them) however did they survive in there for a month?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-11-01 08:57:52 +0000 UTC]

She probably says 'excuse him, he's a posh snob' and they nod in pity.

'which spare room, there are sooooo many, we can use them all!'

(I thought I wasn't clear enough lol)
Charles smuggled food in for them of course, though at one point they did almost turn on Cousin Geoffrey when it appeared like he was sympathising with the enemy

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-11-02 01:55:09 +0000 UTC]

lol can it really be excused?

"the one i just opened?" *points inside* "why Lord Erimway, are you suggesting we make a mission to try out every room in this house?" *eyebrow raise*

(meh)
lol how did cousin Geoffrey sympathize with the enemy? is that why Yianis doesn't like him?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sleyf In reply to Lear-is-not-amused [2016-11-03 07:37:11 +0000 UTC]

No not particularly but they have probably given up trying otherwise

"Well it would be a shame to have all these rooms and never once having tried them out - how could we ever invite guests to stay in them if we haven't given them the seal of approval?"

Geoffrey proposed they 'talk' with the invaders to find out what they want. Preposterous, everyone knows they don't understand human speech Geoffrey - just listen to their squeals and animalistic grunts!
Yianis probably doesn't like him as he thinks he's an imbecile - and Cousin Geoffrey probably is much of the time but comes up with the odd useful suggestion now and then

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lear-is-not-amused In reply to Sleyf [2016-11-03 13:34:32 +0000 UTC]

*gently drags him into the room* "that's just what I was thinking. Now try to guess what I'm thinking right now?"

Lol why didn't they just send Charles to go deal with them?
I imagine if Lear was there she would have returned from something she was doing in town and found her husband and his immediate family locked and barricades in the room and been less than impressed
