The way the poison looks is really creepy and cool at the same time I like the mix of red and blue is really striking.

Trying to figure out how IPL battles all work is kind of blowing my mind a tad. -.-

aww, well they have a fairly easy to read battle faq. I normally do splash battles, which is two people agreeing to fight, drawing a scene from said battle. The most important qualities that will help you win is a dynamic composition, good perspective, and creativity. That's pretty much what battles are judged on.

Hmm so just one question then. When setting up a battle, I just note the person I'm challenging and after we figure that out, I would note IPL so they know. Then all is set and yadda yadda, do art, submit by time limit?

Yeah, you note the person, you both agree on what kind of battle, the due date, the materials used and then you submit a battle request form. there is a handy little button for it on the front page of
