Story
Nigel trotted happily out of the lake, despite the cold fall air nipping at his wet skin, because in his jaw was clenched the limp figure of a bird. His tail wagged proudly as he brought it up to the gunman and dropped it to the ground at his feet. Pavlova leapt out of the water impatiently, ready to continue. She'd dropped off her own quail a few minutes ago, and she couldn't fathom what was taking Nigel so long to get his. She stuck her nose into the air as the gunman patted Nigel affectionately on the head, the Wilty soaking up every drop of affection like a dehydrated sponge. Pavlova floated away through the long yellow grass, paused to wait for them, watching as Nigel danced around the gunman's feet before he bolted back toward her. And then they continued on.
