Juvenile Brown-Headed Cowbird, Molothrus ater

This poor darling hit the large window that I look out of to see the bird feeders while I draw, scaring me half to death. After going outside to check on it, it basically ended up as a photo shoot while the bird was still dazed. As you can tell by the water droplet, I offered it some water which it drank. The bird sat in my hand and gave me the ultimate thank you - nearly missing my hand as it evacuated its bowels - before flying off a minute or so afterward. I was so happy to see it recover and without any injuries!

I think this bird is beautiful.
