Freddy and Nancy from A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010).The scene is inspired by this Freddy/Nancy video . I wanted to do some fanart for these two all of a sudden after watching the vid, so I'd been listening to Burn Season's Closer all the time when I drew this picture. The lyrics fit their relationship quite well, especially the 'kill to be closer' part.
The funny thing is, I just couldn't take Freddy Krueger seriously, even though he's meant to be scary due to his character. The first Freddy movie I saw is Freddy vs. Jason, and that movie is hilarious. I couldn't help but laugh whenever I see Freddy or Jason since then...
Well, Jackie Earle Haley changed that. Gosh, I love his voice!
I just love his Freddy when he talked with that sexy, deep voice in the ANOES remake... I guess that's why the film didn't scare me that much, because I was enjoying Jackie's sexy voice a little bit too much most of the time.So, this picture is dedicated to all the Freddy/Nancy shippers out there! (The pairing might sound weird or crazy, but we all know that with some imagination and craziness, we can ship anything

Nice picture but have to say this 2010Elmie just raped the glory of Freddy and all the movies before it.. I love the voice of Robert Englund and the true Freddy, with his persona, sick humour, voice and laughter..etc That´s the freddy i still find very sexy. But when I first saw clips and the trailers of the remake, I literally gasbed, numerously! They´ve made freddy a wuss + why make him look like a complitely different person?? he doesnt even look mad and scary! And if I can add one more thing concerning Robert and his voice, the man who actually GAVE the voice to this character, here´s an example: you can add a new voice over lets just say, hitler´s voice on one of his speeches, but ppl would still recognize that aint the true Adolf

Hmm, you had a point there. The only Freddy related movie I'd seen before this 2010!remake is Freddy vs. Jason, and I always think that film is sort of hilarious. I guess that's why I still can't take Robert's Freddy seriously...
Well, after seeing the remake, I watched the 1984!ANOES and then I understand the reason why so many ANOES fans dislike this remake so much. Robert's Freddy and Jackie's Freddy are two completely different characters. I admit that the ideas and concepts in the 1984!ANOES are way better than this remake — the 2010!ANOES has awesome visual effects, but it just lacks something. And the character development in the remake is kind of lame compared to the 1984!version...
Anyway, I still enjoyed watching the remake because I loved Jackie Earle Haley's voice. His deep, raspy voice in Watchmen really got me, so I actually had a great time seeing this 2010!ANOES in theater.

At first I couldn't believe the possibility of these two being a couple, but after seeing a few fanvids and reading some fanfics, I suddenly realized that this pairing could actually work. And since I always have a thing with crack/weird/rare pairings, I fell for it immediately... So yeah, here's the result. I guess I'm doomed.
I haven't seen all the ANOES old movies yet, but from what I saw in 1984!ANOES, I can tell the series is kind of hilarious. (And since your job is scaring those intruders who sneak in the campus at midnight, it would be very hard for those Hollywood directors/actors to scare you.

Ah crackships...you gotta love em, right? They scream 'nonsense' to our brains, but 'OTP' in our hearts. Speaking of which I'm working on a new one, based on that fanfic of Flareup and Mikaela's father. It's really rough, but I hopefully might get he first chapter up next year. Dallas and Flareup and their crazy adventures.XD
It's more humor/horror. Not really my cup of tea, but the first movie was enjoyable, but the latest haven't been so great. However, Robert England is a great actor. It looks like he really enjoys playing and getting into his character. LOL not just my job. Horror is a big part my family. We have a long history of dealing with the paranormal, since at least the early 1920s on both sides. So fear is in the blood so to speak.

You know what, forget what I said before, I posted the first chapter of that fic on the same account already. It's called roadtrip, and has Dallas Banes and Flareup becoming an unlikely team which has both reuniting with friends and family in Tranquility. The story seems to also be crossing over with Cosmic Joke, so that means eventually, Dallas will be meeting a "brother" he never knew existed.

Jeez, you're fast, girl! I'm so going to fav that story right now. I may not be able to R&R it recently because of work and schoolwork, but I'll definitely write some longer reviews when I have my winter vacation in January.

Haha Fast for that story, but not the current one. I'm sure folks are dying to know what's going to happen, as I left it on a huge cliffhanger. XD R&R when you can, the story isn't going anywhere.

LOL I wonder how they'd react to her too. Probably disbelief at first, then a bit of hesitation to accept her, much like Blackout did. I think Frenzy still considers her to be pet in a way, though like Bulkhead said in TFA " Why would he need one that big?" XD I think their relationship will change as the story goes on.

Great pic. I like the Freddy/Holbrook 2010pairing.
It's the only Freddy/Nancy pairing that works. The with the original....it would have never happened. Too much hate from Nancy and Freddy(though there is a lot of lust for her as hinted in New Nightmare and discussed in Never Sleep Again).

When I first heard of this pairing, I was kind of surprised because it seemed kind of weird to me. Then I watched the remake and read a few fanfictions, and everything suddenly makes sense. So yeah, I guess I just jumped on the boat and officially started shipping this pairing.
Actually, the Freddy/Nancy pairing can still work in the original series. I haven't seen all the old series except A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), but from that movie I could sense the reasons why people ship this pairing. I just couldn't help but laugh when Nancy and Freddy started their epic fight... Those scenes somehow reminded me of love comedy.
