Description
She's dead, whispered that horrible voice, because of you.
Because of you.
Humanized version of Prowl from this Transformers fanfiction, Where You and I Collide.
The scene was mainly inspired by chapter 46 of the story. Also, I got plenty of inspiration thanks to this beautiful song, Call Your Name.
In the story, Prowl was once a member of the Simfur Capitol City Security Response before the war tore Cybertron apart. He found Psi ex Machina's ideals fascinating and believed that getting rid of those unnecessary emotions could improve a bot's abilities and efficiency.
Evasia , Prowl's first lover, sensed the danger and tried everything she could to drag him away from the evil cult's luring. She managed to help Prowl escape, but she paid the price dearly. She lost her own life for Prowl's safety.
The red mark on Prowl's body is the symbol of Psi ex Machina. He got that mark when he was an avid participant of the cult, and now the symbol would always remind him of his dead lover, along with the endless pain and loss.
Once again, I used 's character design to draw Prowl's human form. You can see a clear view of his tattoos here:

We are sadists and love to break down tough characters, then make them work for their happy endings. How messed up are we? I’m sure there’s a club out there for sadistic artists, preferably for Transformers artists. Imma look into that.

There is so much emotion in what looks like a mundane artwork of a singular character. This piece will, of course, impact the fanfiction’s readers the most. But even to an ‘untrained’ eye, there is deep sadness there.
Thanks for the explanation, so we can all understand what exactly is going on here. Also that symbol. That’s just painted on there, or tattooed on there, yes? Because for a moment, I though someone carved that into his flesh, and the red we were seeing was blood.
I’ve been on Tumblr too long, so my reaction to seeing this, then reading the description, was AHAHAHAHAHAHA nnnoooooooooooo.

Oh dear. Now I can't think of anything else besides Whitney Houston's song whenever I see a sad looking Prowl. It's all your fault, girl.
Breaking down tough characters is actually pretty amusing. And yeah, I guess we both have a nasty habit of tormenting these characters in our stories/drawings/whatever it is. Seriously, if we're too kind to the characters and give them everything they need, the story will no longer be entertaining.
As to that symbol... well, I personally think it's some kind of tattoo. Carving out his flesh and drawing so much blood sounds too cruel to our poor Prowler. Let's be nice to him, okay?
And I bet he will appreciate your hugs. Even though he's too tough to admit it.
