Description
I was digging through old stuff and found a realy old oil study..Was a part commision but never got rid of it..Anyway this was my first ever attempt at horses probably about 11 years ago..almost forgotten about this one..

The foal's neck is a bit off, but I'm just nit-picky when it comes to details in horses.

What did you do this from? Imagination, life, a picture? For a first attempt I think that this is good. I too enjoy painting animals in a realistic / photographic way.

Great for a first. I don't think the foal's body is long, if you consider the length of his neck, too. I do think the mare's muzzle might be a little.....big?, but other than that it's beautiful.
