Description With the revelation of Cloud for Super Smash Bros, I decided to make a comparison of the third-party characters in both Smash and PlayStation All-Stars. Keep in mind that these characters can be compared anyway you want, but this is the way I chose to compare them.

THE SWORDSMAN:
Metal Gear's Raiden and Final Fantasy's Cloud are both skilled swordsmen. Additionally, many would consider Cloud to be a PlayStation character, so seeing him in Smash Bros is surprising. Solid Snake was previously in Brawl, so with Raiden in All-Stars, both Metal Gear and Konami are linked to Nintendo and PlayStation, though some people would also associate Snake with PlayStation. This leads some fans to assume Raiden was chosen instead of Snake because Snake was already in Smash Bros, though that is not likely the case, but either way...

THE GUNNER:
Dead Space's Isaac Clarke and Mega Man both favor a form of firearm, namely Mega Man's Mega Buster and Isaac's weaponized engineer tools. Additionally, both characters add to their arsenal throughout the course of their games. As mentioned previously, Isaac weaponizes his engineer tools. Once Mega Man defeats a Robot Master, he can adapt their abilities as his own.

THE EXPERIENCED FIGHTER:
Tekken's Heihachi Mishima and Street Fighter's Ryu both hail from fighting games, and have clashed with each other prior to both crossovers in Street Fighter x Tekken. Additionally, they were also in Project x Zone and will return in the sequel, and they'll clash yet again in Tekken x Street Fighter, Namco's version of Street Fighter x Tekken. Though nothing new has been revealed for said game, it has been stated that it's still in development. Additionally, both of their recent games have had special treatment on the other character's represented console. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 had a special rerelease on the Wii U that included exclusive game modes as well as Nintendo outfits for all fighters. Ultra Street Fighter IV had an exclusive remastered release for the PlayStation 4, and Street Fighter V is console-exclusive to PS4.

THE ROUND ONE:
Is it sad that the only comparison between BioShock's Big Daddy and Pac-Man is that they're both round? Perhaps, but they do have something else in common. They can both become unstoppable under certain conditions. If the Big Daddy's Little Sister is threatened, it will become a raging monster that'll stop at nothing to protect her. Though it can be killed in BioShock, in All-Stars this is one of its Super Moves as it becomes an unstoppable killing machine. Pac-Man can also become unstoppable when he eats a power pellet, allowing him to eat ghosts that would otherwise be able to kill him on contact.

THE ANNOYING ONE:
(Ninja Theory) Devil May Cry's Dante and Sonic the Hedgehog can both be annoying characters at times, and some people on the internet outright dislike them. However, this isn't their only shared trait. Both characters can be smart-mouthed and offer quips to their opponents, and both characters are very fast. In Sonic's case, this is due to his...well, his sonic speed. As for Dante, he is literally a combo demon, able to execute quick-paced sword slashes, swings of a scythe, and rapid gun fire all in quick succession. Additionally, both of their final moves see them transform into a slightly different, alternate colored version of themselves. Super Sonic turns Sonic gold, while DmC Dante's Devil Trigger just gives him white hair and a red jacket, resembling his namesake.

So, what makes Snake?

Also,if we compare other characters with each other, I say Fat princess and Jigglypuff (Pink fat joke characters yhat will kill you if you're not stupid), Nariko and Samus (strong and "hot" independent female characters), Sly and Fox (both anthro reps), Sackboy and Mr&W (both joke characters) and I'm still thinking for the rest.

Snake's a bridge between them, basically.
But I guess I'd compare him with Nathan Drake since both characters go on dangerous missions and end up killing a lot of people to complete those missions. Also, even though Uncharted doesn't revolve around stealth like Metal Gear does, it's possible to use stealth to take out your opponents.

What about Bayonetta?

Good question.
PlayStation only has five third-party characters in their game, so I guess I'd pair Bayonetta with Nariko since they're both strong female characters from action-oriented games. Most would compare her to Dante, and since the Dante in PSAS was developed by Ninja Theory, the company behind Heavenly Sword, that'd be my first comparison.
She could also be compared to Kratos, since she kills angels and he kills gods.

I would compare her to Kratos too since they are both OP (Well Bayonetta is looking OP currently), and they kill gods (Bayonetta's case: She kills angels which are related to Gods)

Exactly.
Another thing is that their games are sexual. God of War actually has sex mini-games, and Bayonetta's clothes transform when she performs some attacks.
Both of them received some obvious censorship for their roles in the more family-friendly games they appear in.
